Dooley is making us the laughing stock of college football. Especially when he slammed his cane on the ground.

Starting a thread in "text speak" and using "lime" in place of "like" is just as likely to make us the laughing stock as the coaching conjecture.

IMHO

SIAP and try not to laugh...:)

The Arkansas "Insiders" are saying regarding Gruden to Arky "Final details are being worked out. I was told, Pressor will be Tuesday or Wed."

You hit the nail on the head for players over 50-60 years of age, but not the former players that are under 40 and younger. They want to win, have an air of excitement to the program, and be nationally relevant again. This is my age group, and the age group of most I know. I never hear anyone yearn for the Fulmer years over again. Now with old heads all bets are off.

Oh I agree with you. I'm in the same under 40 age group. The problem is that a lot of the people on the university side that need to change their ways are the old guard. Gruden gets those people's attention because of his celebrity, personality, and Super Bowl. After Gruden, the only other realistic option that anyone in the university would respect immediately and cut them some slack is a UT guy - probably Cutcliffe.

My 2nd option would probably be Gary Patterson. The problem with a Patterson or Strong hire though is that even though they'd be big time upgrades, the perception of that hire doesn't do anything for a lot of people so it would be the same old same old in the university if they didn't win immediately. I think they'd have to overcome too much too quickly to be successful and we'd be right back where we are, not because those guys couldn't get the job done, but because the base is unreasonable.
