Ill address sources. I won't say names, with the exception of Danomite, as he has already put himself out there. The connections i backchecked were in the AD, media, and more that are close to not just Gruden, but other high profile people close to the deal. Had a loooot of requests on my info, and developed a lot of interesting connections.

What other points would you like expanded?

Pilot chicks prolly liken to Weigel's chicks. I used to work at a place with a Weigel's across the street. You'd see a li'l cutie (at least from a distance) and have an urge to go get a fountain drink. The closer you got...the less enthused I became.

Hence the term...Weigel's chick.

I have to say the smoke screen talk is the height of absurdity, jmo, no offense to anyone that has used the term. I think we have a better than average shot at getting Gruden or another big name, money is committed to do so, but the thought that the AD is putting out "smoke screens" in the media seems laughable.

Why would Jimbo leave FSU for Tennessee? That would be a historically lateral move and today would seem like a step down. You could say the same for Gruden and the NFL, but maybe he is interested in the possibility of controlling you're own program.

Unfortunately we do not have that wonderful grocery up here. But I understand your point and I hate it when that happens.

I think your info about the BOT is far from correct. I ask you about it in a previous post and did not see your answer. As I understand it, the AD reporting requirement only changed with respect to fund raising. You can expand on that.

The crazy thing is I have had some Vol fans say "If we get gruden, we'll own Florida." I tend to think that either way, Florida will be just fine. You might beat us, but to say you will own us is dishonest.

I think Gruden would be gone in less than 5 years anyways. The NFL is in his blood. he's an NFL coach.

I agree about competing with UF. Florida will always be fine with a competent coach.

However, Jon really likes UT and enjoyed his short time here. Also, I have never understood the argument about time limitations. With the new CBA in the NFL there are practice restrictions. Sure he can study film with them much more but practice time is not much different.

I may be wrong but I also think if he has decent success it could be a destination for a while. If he comes, we will have to pay, and he will continue to make a lot of money.
