Ill address sources. I won't say names, with the exception of Danomite, as he has already put himself out there. The connections i backchecked were in the AD, media, and more that are close to not just Gruden, but other high profile people close to the deal. Had a loooot of requests on my info, and developed a lot of interesting connections.

What other points would you like expanded?

How exactly did you "backcheck" these connections/sources? I'm assuming the OP's of the info contained in your "notes" didn't give you the names and contact info of their sources and encourage you to contact them directly for verification. Is this one of those "I'm not a journalist but I play one on Volnation" sort of things?

I like the way this board is looking tonight... even Waco hearing we got a deal.... ha ha ,

I like it when our competors know we are bout to kick the arse..LOL, no offense Waco..JK

I have to say the smoke screen talk is the height of absurdity, jmo, no offense to anyone that has used the term. I think we have a better than average shot at getting Gruden or another big name, money is committed to do so, but the thought that the AD is putting out "smoke screens" in the media seems laughable.

Please, this post is obviously an anti-smokescreen smokescreen. How much is Hart paying you?

I think your info about the BOT is far from correct. I ask you about it in a previous post and did not see your answer. As I understand it, the AD reporting requirement only changed with respect to fund raising. You can expand on that.

While in writing it doesn't seem like a huge deal, the BOT meeting was a huge deal. Cheek is still above Hart. Hart is still subordinate to Cheek. However, Hart's AD money now is released by a more athletically inclined VP. Your post isn't incorrect, but neither is mine. Btw, part of fund raising is booster money. Hence the money for gruden hire, dooley buy out from the boosters is now in Hart's control, allowing him to give gruden his control. Hence the pressure bein swapped onto Cheek

Amazingly, you don't have to be a journalist to develop connections, e-mail, and dig for info.

I quoted and replied to Ohio Vols funny Pilot girl post. Geez, ease up a little. :mf_surrender: It's about time for the night shift to lighten this place up. :pepper:
SLOVNT I think he just used your post as a springboard and I don't believe he meant it towards you personally. No worries! The night shift is the best IMO :)

Nope. But you didn't answer the actual question, which is how you went about "backchecking" the info. All of the info you posted has been posted in the Gruden threads before--I'm just asking what exactly you've done to "check" it. If all you did was email the OP's to confirm they still believed their info, it seems kind of pointless.

Repeat of a post that I thought shows condition of our program

I had dinner with my son and his wife after the ball game Saturday night. He is in the coast guard. The Coast guard was going to be part of Saturdays honor guard, and he was asked to be one of them... They needed two more, and could not find two more coasties willing to come to the stadium..no had to cancel...

Not that we have them everywhere in Tennessee.... but thare are several in this state...... but NONE WERE WILLING TO SERVE

Why would Jimbo leave FSU for Tennessee? That would be a historically lateral move and today would seem like a step down. You could say the same for Gruden and the NFL, but maybe he is interested in the possibility of controlling you're own program.

Because FSU boosters want jimbo out. Not sure why. I talked to a FSU booster and he said he would pay me to take Jimbo away. But I still think we get Gruden so its irrelevant
