I recognize my opinion means little since it isn't my team or coach, but for the first time, I found out some information yesterday on the Florida side that makes me think you ARE going to get Jon Gruden.

By then, there will be plenty of tix to be had. I say we should orange out LP Field. Show him we mean business.

A dream but this would be great to have a stealth "orange out " for the game and have people singing Rocky Top in the stands with gruden doing a "Roger Clemens" type wave and smile from the press Box minus the Suzyn Waldman rant Suzyn Waldman - Roger Clemens - YouTube

Strange how Arkansas thinks the exact same thing and their posts from insiders are almost saying the same type of stuff. I would not doubt this is just some big misinformation by some boosters to mislead everyone.

If Gruden already has a house in TN...I'm pretty sure he can claim residency. With his current job, I'm pretty sure he can/could live anywhere he wants.

There has been a lot of positive info, so I'm not trying to be a downer...but I find the cost of living and state income tax arguments as fairly weak.

That part seems like a stretch.

Sorry because I in know this is an old post, and somebody has probably already clarified, but I wanted to just in case:

In Connecticut, where Gruden is employed, employers are required to collect state income tax on non-residents for work performed for a business based in Connecticut.

This is true for almost all states, so residence makes no difference. It is all about where you work. In fact, some states will levy income taxes on residents for work performed in another state, as well as the state where the work is performed.

Sorry to digress.

My guess is that most of the people making Gruden claims have heard info from all parts of the US. Not to be too dramatic, but it is pretty widespread in certain "circles".

True. Pro athletes have to deal with this all the time.

Good morning all. I have not made many postings lately as I have no sources to call on. But I do browse all day to find the latest. Some days are better than others; but at this time from all I read I am in the extremely hopeful mood. Hope to stay that way. Will continue to read and occasionally comment. These are going to be a long couple of weeks. Just have to keep the faith.
