Don't ruin his career Dan. He has kids and was a UT QB. I know I said something dumb about that pass and now I feel bad. I had the opportunity to edit my post. You won't have that option if you crush him publicly.

Danno, listen to these folks bro. If you ever want to have a solid journalistic career, you are going to have to be tactful. It is not about making somebody look wrong--it is about getting to the real facts.

And, finally, always ALWAYS give a person a way out that allows them to save face. You will maintain a whole lot more sources that way.

It's the unprofessional part I was speaking about. The damage has been done for Dan in his professional world IMO. This board darn sure isn't going to help in that department

And, unless I'm missing something, using the term "professional" is a bit of a stretch. He posts blog entries on SB Nation. I understand that he is probably paid for what he does, but it's not like he's the editor of the sports page for The Tennessean...or even a beat writer for that matter. Am I missing something? If so, I apologize in advance.

According to the latest rumor making the rounds, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram is ready to break the story that ESPN analyst Jon Gruden will be the next head coach of the Razorbacks for a reported deal that would make him the highest-paid coach in all of college football, somewhere north of $6 million a year.

Is Gruden really in the Hogs’ future?*|*HOG COUNTRY

This is funny. All these schools think Gruden is coming to be thier coach. Kind of makes me feel silly for thinking he would come to TN after reading that ARK article and thinking "are they nuts."

The fact that any of you guys believe this troll is beyond me. You guys are like a bunch of guys that never had a girlfriend under 300 lbs and then meet Mila Kunis' sister in a chat room and start Internet dating. Gullible is an understatement. You guys probably click those ads that say 'congrats you're a $100000 winner!'

You're like a guy that has nothing better to do than read comments and insult people over something you don't even believe. You probably shouldn't say anything considering you spend your time doing stuff you find stupid.

And it will cost him dearly to those who care about whether their on-air sources of info have been untruthful.

This part has me roflmao!!!

Not directed at you, but anybody that believes EA, TB, TF, etc are solid sources of anything more than rumors, speculation and opinions probably believed every word Stern has ever said.

I feel bad for the hogs. I really do...

If he treats them like he treated Ainge, there is no doubt about it.

I think thats secondary to the fact that he is a guy that is very publicly putting info on a message board. He has said he is asking his contacts for their premission to do so but IMO other media will stop sharing their info if its hitting the message boards without being published somewhere reputable first.

Two hours til they announce Gruden as their head coach lol

They were all saying it will be announced 4.

I feel sorry for the press. You'd think the university would give them a little notice. They're going all reverse Lane Kiffin on them.
