Still think it will be after Kentucky even with a loss if all the Gruden stuff is true.

I don't know..but I tend to agree with you. As we filter thru all this crap, the ultimate message seems to be that Gruden ain't comin til after MNF anyway...so what does it really matter if Dooley coaches out the regular season?

The more post I hear about from that arky site I just

Yea, but you have to admit, there has been an eclectic mix of topics discussed in these threads over the last 6 weeks, and everybody has been pretty civil.

Of course, I may be completely deluded and ignoring the fact that Freak essentially had to build an extra room on the back of the house to keep us out of site.

Freak made a wise move, because it separated this discussion from the Football Forum and Recruiting Forum. If this thread series had stayed in the Football Forum, I can imagine South Carolina game week turning into a slugfest.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but the reason they don't want it cut is because if they are redistributing it, they can cut it themselves and make a ton more off of it?

AND, isn't all shine original corn mash the first time it comes thru the copper coil? I only becomes white lightning after a batch of corn whiskey is run through the still a second time?

And infusion has a variety of methods from dissolving hard candy like jolly ranchers, infusing real fruit, cutting it with juices, etc...
That is correct about redistribution, and it cuts their hauling cost. Now if they were selling out their back door then they would add more water. Most of the Franklin County shiners send their product to either New York or Philadelphia. Now as far as the mash, it can be made from almost anything and if you saw what is in some of it you would puke!! I have heard of using different kinds of fruit but I think most of the ones that do that are only making small amounts.

Had issues with my beeper this morning and missed my connect. I decided to upgrade to the ole Nextel celly. As I turned on the two way beep I somehow was connected into a conversation between haslam and the grude man... We gon be real happy soooon guise! Geaux vols! The champ is here!

Jake, I'm not sure where we left off. Have you dismissed me as someone who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, or what?

Of coarse not. I never fail to learn something from someone else, if I'm incorrect. I don't argue or insult people...unless I'm attacked. Which you did not do.

Please, by all means...tell me more and let's discuss. Although I am fading into my pillow.

~75% and will remain that way I think, unless something huge breaks. Very likely, I'm bought in. The 25% is not knowing exactly what I have bought in to lol. It's a great storyline and definitely huge potential to be true. I haven't talked to anyone personally worth reporting except someone on the marketing end at UT that said they know Dooley is done but not a peep on even possibilities. Not exactly newsworthy but Hart obv has a tight lid on everything.

A big part of that other 25% I have to admit is that Grudenville site. It messed with my head the similarities between there and here to be honest, so one rather large group is going to look foolish in a few weeks.

If this were a civil case I would say that a preponderance of the evidence has been reached with regards to Gruden coaching UT. I truly in my gut think it is going to happen. I just do not think it beyond a reasonable doubt yet. Too many people I know should know if it were a "done deal" and an agreement had been reached.

I normally don't speculate because I have no sources. All of my information is on the university side. I've chosen to be optimistic based on what I've read on here but now all the smoke from national sources saying this is possible as well as the fact Hubbs is not dismissing anything and in some cases fueling the fire leads me to believe in my gut that the Gruden rumors are true.

The main reason I believe this is the silence is deafening at this point. If the Gruden rumors aren't true, then it means that Hart and Cheek have already screwed this whole mess up beyond belief by not getting Dooley out and starting the search officially. The only coach worthy of foregoing a major public search is Gruden. So, by not getting going on that and giving the fans what they want it leads me to believe the boosters are indeed driving the train, not allowing Hart and Cheek to screw it up. The big boosters have my full confidence - the university not even close.

If my hunch is correct, the only way to really do this thing right and professional for all parties involved - Dooley, the current assistants, Gruden, ESPN, the university - is by playing it all out, going through the motions. As much as we all want them to fire Dooley tomorrow and hire Gruden the next day, it's not going to happen that way. Neither Gruden nor his agents nor good businessmen like the boosters would do something that way because it sets a bad precedent and shows a lack of respect for the current coaches and players. So we're all forced to wait, but that wait and the silence is what tells me this is true, because realistically, that was the only way to do it all along if Gruden was the man all along.

I agree that if we didn't already have an idea that we had a coach in waiting, we would want to start a coaching search sooner than later. We would need to start gauging interest from potential candidates and could have let Chaney interim the season out. Then soon after UK game we would probably have our guy and he could get started on recruiting and hit the ground running. The fact that O'Douls is still our coach just makes me think we already know what's going to happen... (agreement with bjsvols)

One more thing to add, UT is still a state organization and certain rules govern firing someone and hiring someone else. Even though I say I don't have confidence in the university, they have to go through their normal processes, which means advertising the position, interviewing a certain number of qualified candidates, etc. Doesn't mean the decision hasn't been made and an agreement isn't ready to be put in place.

What it means, though, is for this thing to be official, Gruden to officially accept, and everything be announced publicly for sure; Dooley has to be fired, the university has to post the position, several interviews have to take place, and any other due diligence such as background checks all have to happen. So, even once Dooley is fired it will take several weeks to confirm this whole thing even if the Gruden rumors are true. It's just the way it has to be. Based on the timeline I've read on here, it gives the university just enough time to do everything it needs to do to make this legit between firing Dooley and announcing Gruden around Christmas.
