One more thing to add, UT is still a state organization and certain rules govern firing someone and hiring someone else. Even though I say I don't have confidence in the university, they have to go through their normal processes, which means advertising the position, interviewing a certain number of qualified candidates, etc. Doesn't mean the decision hasn't been made and an agreement isn't ready to be put in place.
What it means, though, is for this thing to be official, Gruden to officially accept, and everything be announced publicly for sure; Dooley has to be fired, the university has to post the position, several interviews have to take place, and any other due diligence such as background checks all have to happen. So, even once Dooley is fired it will take several weeks to confirm this whole thing even if the Gruden rumors are true. It's just the way it has to be. Based on the timeline I've read on here, it gives the university just enough time to do everything it needs to do to make this legit between firing Dooley and announcing Gruden around Christmas.
State policy allows those interviews to be phone interviews. Also there are clearly ways around having the job posted for the 7 days the state I believe requires. DD was hired in less than a week so there is clear evidence a change and a new coach being named can happen very quickly

Anyone heard from SBV lately?
I think MH is in the recruiting forum and Slice (who I hate) is in the Zone.Haven't seen him or Slice in a while. And, Montrell Hardy basically started this whole thing by posting his connection to Jay Gruden way back in I and hasn't been in here since. I guess there wasn't more for MH to say, given the Grudens wouldn't want the intimate details thrown out.
I'm not too sure how good a Moonshiner some of these guys are...
