I almost freaked out cause I missed NfL thursday night football...then I remembered it was Miami vs. Buffalo! YAAAAWWWWNNNN

Not really. Years of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will do wonders.

I'm going to stop responding/bantering with this guy. It's obvious there are some deep emotional/psychiatric issues here, and I refuse to be a part of furthering a possible problem. Good luck to you avi.

Thank you to this board for helping me keep my mind off of things......and bear with me but typing this is helping me

I lost an Uncle today to Cancer, he was like a second father to my brother and myself. While I know he is no longer in pain and he is at home now with God. It does not help with the hurting and heartbreak for our family, but we all know he did not pass, he was called "HOME" . During my time alone today or tonight when the wife and kids are asleep I have had this bard to keep me busy, reading, laughing and throwing in a post ever once in a while.

There one more Vol fan in Heaven tonight, I Love You and miss you Uncle RS!!!

Sorry to hear that. You have my prayers for you and yours.

I think it's best you let other posters reflect other opinions instead of bashing them. I appreciate though sincerely the truce, since that is what it seems to be.

Sure that's all correct but jobs must be publicly open to protect the state from anyone claiming that jobs were filled improperly. A job must be open in order to be filled and that requires it being public.

Some of you need to learn how state law impacts jobs paid by the state
Once again...after a couple of years ago.... and I believe the former governor actually did it on his way out...it Does not apply to some positions....and paygrades.

Tonight's game was to NFL Thursday night matchups as David Cutcliffe is to UT coaching hires.

Although the Thursday night games have been underwhelming this year in general.

No, I disagree. I don't know about state requirements as I have said before. But the job is open when Dooley is terminated. It doesn't have to be made public for that to happen.

Dooley would not be coaching this weekend if he was terminated. You guys need to relax and let this play out. It's Gruden, but there is no need to rationalize every statement from media and otherwise as being a smokescreen or speculating that Dooley has been fired but is coaching anyway. The MOU is a way to informally agree upon the parameters of the contract. I am not saying whether a MOU has been signed or not, but the terms have been agreed upon, and that has been the cae for a while.

sorry for your loss Eric

Eric I lost a great friend a few years ago to cancer. Hopefully this isn't distasteful but every Saturday I think so much about him and the thought I keep having is he enjoyed huge wins this year against the fla, Georgia, and Bama watching from Above. Simply put the Vols don't lose where he is at!

Your family is in our prayers!

Al Golden is getting beat in the ACC, what makes Hart think he will win in the SEC?

Golden is not who we should go after.

Majors coached after he was "fired".

So did Fulmer.

Not really. Years of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will do wonders. It's quite hypocritical for you to say it's inappropriate for me to bring up something so personal, yet we are talking about a secret MOU that is signed while the HEAD COACH of the Volunteers is still retained? Talk about inappropriate if true. Bad business if that is the case.

A deceased child and the rumor of an MOU signed is equal in your eyes?
Priorities, yours are screwed up.
I am sure you will be back tomorrow to blame all of this on those mischievous boys of yours though.

Can you blow this up in many different languages and make it required reading please? Thank you.

Thanks all, time for bed for me, have a long drive tomorrow to TN for the services. Eyes are very red and need some rest.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

I have been a member here for a couple of years now. I get on frequently, obviously more often during football season, some during basketball, and close to NSD. I never posted prior to GrudenMania, just enjoyed reading what many of you guys have been writing for a while. I am beyond frustrated with what has happened to Tennessee football. I have been AllVol, VFL, since the first time I came to NS in 1979. My first game, the '79 OWG, and I have pictures of me on the field at 4 with Bill Bates, and close pictures of Willie Gault and Greg Gaines. My first regular season game was BC that fall. I have been fortunate enough to see countless games at NS and watched the Vols in several other stadiums. After the Fulmer coup, and that is what I have called it since day 1, I gave "he who shall not be named" my support, only to be gut-shot. Then, disappointed with DD. I am over the let downs and disappointments.

Am I going all in on Gruden because of a gut feeling? Yes. The only "connections" I have are friends in Knoxville and on campus, none that have any positions that would privy them to real "inside" info. I rely on the solid opinions and news from those of you that do your diligence, and I appreciate it.

Enough let down and disappointment. Enough of the downward spiral of Tennessee football. We are due for the turnaround, and JG is the best person to return UT to national relevance, and return game day to 106,000 for Florida, Georgia, and Bama.

GBO!

Doyle,

I respectfully ask that you look both ways when posting, and try to honor my inquiries as simple, not degrading.
