If Tubbs to Arkansas and Fisher to Auburn happens, that opens the door for Gary Patterson to be the next Tennessee head coach if Gruden falls through. Patterson would be a terrific hire. His recruting has been questioned but remember where he's at. It will be much easier for him to recruit at Tennessee. Him bringing Bumpas and Shannon with him would be icing on the cake and would bring alot of coaching and recruting clout to his staff.

If i could pick any college coach not named Kelly or Petersen, it would be Patterson. Good backup plan imo.

Ainge thinks Chavis is a candidate? If so then I am on board with this notion that Ainge is just making stuff up. I could see Chavis coming back someday as DC but no HC.

I dont' think either of them have any more information than we do at this point. they are doing their jobs, pushing ratings - they are going to do this regardless of what they know cause that it how it all works.

Can we stop taking what these guys say as gospel?

And you know he could be reeling in some studs right now if the rest of the staff wasn't totally incompetent and actually won some games. Recruiting in the skill positions would skyrocket if Gruden retains Graham and brings in Tee Martin.

The fact Dooley is still the coach tells me they have or are very close to having their guy. Also props to Dooley for his acting job yesterday in his presser. Dave Hart hasn't told me anything and Dave is a honest guy. Dools pulling some old tricks from his 'lawyering' experience.
