I believe he just left nfl.com and nfl network this summer to join CBS but yes he's very solid.

That is what I heard from my friend in Knoxville. He was born in raised in Knoxville, graduated from TN and has solid connections. Very well connected family.

He told me those dates on Sunday after the Missouri game.

He told me the only possible fallout was if Gruden opted for Philly or San Diego over TN,, but that he was confident Gruden wanted to come to TN. Which is why he is positive.

This report from Jason only reassures that Gruden really is leaning TN over NFL right now....which is why I am starting to really believe this can happen.

It's like the mob mentality. I wasn't on the Gruden train and wasn't really sure if he'd be a great hire for the college game. But, hell, I've fallen into the trap for the last couple weeks and even at that late in the game it's been a roller coaster ride. I'm all in and hope that FINALLY TENNESSEE FOOTBALL HAS SOMETHING GOOD TO CELEBRATE! Make it so AD.

Could be wrong about this,but....... Gruden has family here. If he leaves like Kiff, he knows this fan base will go crazy making life miserable on said family. I think he would handle it better than just burning this bridge to the ground.... for his family's sake.

Gruden is no Kiffin. He has much higher standards of behavior for himself.

I have to believe that if Gruden has decided or is leaning to choosing Tennessee over an NFL gig, we won't let that opportunity slip away.

I guess Tennessee has fooled me before, but I really think if he is on board, we will make it happen.

Nothing is 100% until he is introduced as our next coach, but things are looking very good right now.
