A friend just told me he heard on sports animal that Gruden was at tba yesterday for a private meeting. Anyone else hear this?

Not buying it. He had a business engagement yesterday evening.

It's humbling to hear a players insight on how all this affects young players.

He stayed that he's had 5 position coaches in 5 years.

nothing new here.

Other than the money is there for a Gruden type hire, it was not there a few weeks ago or in previous years regardless of what is believed about UT's program. I still believe that Dooley has a chance to keep his job if a better viable candidate is not found.

So to OP what is your gut feeling on names? Sounds like they are not exactly wanting to go after someone they feel would leave us high and dry for their dream job. With that feeling coming across makes me think more and more of it being Cutcliffe.

Even though these guys get scholarships, they didn't sign on for this. I feel bad for them that this is the way their college careers have gone. They are every bit a much of the program as the guys who won the highest honors, however.

and...I feel like they signed on for whatever it takes to get an education...JMO...I know there is that glimmer of hope for pro ball and all but if they are smart they are planning for life after football.

He said they reported it on sports animal around 2. I listen to tsr so I wouldn't have heard it. Just wondering if anyone else did.

Not really....any one you can get before the first of the year will be valuable no matter the price.

Price hasn't gone up yet....but they will, if you can even get them. Standard AR's running $800-$1200 depending in brand.

Is this simply a buying repeat from 4 years ago or serious concern for any upcoming changes?

This is first time i have ever posted but have been reading for a long time now and have been following the Gruden posts since the beginning! In the beginning i was quite skeptical but i am all in now! I 100% believe it is going to happen which will make me ecstatic!!

These guys are absolutely foolish when they don't take advantage of the educational opportunity, that is for sure. Because even for those who make it in the league, most of their careers are short and do not set them up for life.
