What else is out there honestly other than what the reporter said today? I really want to believe , I do, trust me.

La Canfora is one of the most reliable guys out there. He wasn't baited into mentioning Gruden to Tennessee. It just further supports the Gruden rumors.

But the same things were said about Shannon. I hate to bring it up , but it's a relatable situation . I just want to celebrate .

It's just like the game. Celebrate the play when it happens, but the single play does not mean the game is over. ie. injoy the moment.

I am going to enjoy the Gruden rumor until I hear that he is not coming. If he does not come, I will enjoy the next play. If he does come, we won the game. jmo.

You're starting to come around, bro. The light keeps getting brighter and brighter, and yes it's hard to believe...but so much of the filtered information has added up and become common denominators.

Then you add some of the radio feeds and positive attention this seems to be getting...and it becomes more and more believable.

You gotta admit...your starting to turn around aren't you?

I agree... and I was here during the Shannon thing as well...

I just think we keep seeing these reporters coming back around like Terry Fair, lightening up, Bassilio had Jerry Collquit on today and he said if Gruden coached anywhere it would be Tennessee, he had done it all at the NFL level and had nothing to prove. The ESPN radio thing... PS? bassilio said then of course that had always said he was on the Gruden hire??? ha ha ha

Now I know you said you trust LWS (Larry) I know he is certainly a great poster, but the guys I trust Lexvol, Boro, Gman, Oldvol etc. ...were they the ones promoting the Shannon thing?.. I hope that helps you understand why I choose to believe

Hello cooke, have you gone double identity on us. You posted the other night that you were thinking about changing your name and them a CookieVol shows up. js ?????

Hate is strong word but I wanted him gone last year and he didnt do anything but prove me right this year. Numbers don't win games and neither does a JC coached offense.

I try to block the last two years, but I still had hope for Dooley, so I blamed Chaney and the fact that half the team was hurt.

So I am apart of this website called volnation.com there are several man beast on volnation.com. They have Boro-Beast, LTOBeast, OVBeast, BcarterBeast, OCIBeast, GmanBeast, DanomiteBeast, DoctorBeast among other manly manly beast. All these manly manly beast reported Gruden to UT. I just got lucky I was in the right place at the right time. Never one to have any sources.

I'M READY TO SEE 100,000+ AROUND THE GRUDENBEAST THRONE!!!!!! BEFORE I PEACE OUT TO THE REAL TRILLION+ HIGHPRIESTBEAST (JESUS) THRONE!!!!

:lolabove: The love fest you just gave those posters is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Sabanocchio has been put to shame.

Whats happening VolNation? I am a new member to this great board but have been viewing it non stop since the Gruden rumors broke. Quick question to some of you in the greater Knoxville area, specifically Sevierville. Does anyone know any of Mrs. Gruden's family? I hadnt heard anything else about the rumor they were stating he was coming. Also heard some real estate rumors but was under the impression he already built a home there. You guys keep me entertained daily, keep up the good work!!

I'm not convinced on the whole Sevierville rumor. I can tell you JG owns a farm in Dandridge which was acquired in late 2006.

For the life of me I still don't get the Chaney hate. What are we averaging, 40+ points a game? 44 against UGA, 35 against South Carolina, and 28 in regulation against Mizzo, 31 against MSU-all of these teams have good defenses.

Sure, there are occasional play calls that seem odd, but you can find that anywhere. Alabama fans could not stand Jim McElwain, UGA fans hate Mike Bobo...and USC fans had issues with Lane Kiffin-still wondering where Reggie Bush was on that 4th and 1 against Texas. I could go on.

And on a lot of those "questionable" play calls people were open that did not get the ball, for whatever reason. Jim Chaney is a good offensive coach, and the Dooley hate has extended to him on occasion. Based on what I see on Saturdays, I don't get it.

For one, he's not a strong recruiter. 2nd, Mizzou and UGA don't have very good defenses and MSU has given up 37 points or more to every ranked team they've played. Bray has had footwork issues this year (QB drops) and that falls on Chaney. He seems to have failed to teach the offense about hot routes. His offense also either stagnates or turns the ball over in pressure situations (UF, UGA, MSU, Bama), and in my opinion, his playcalling seems to put too much emphasis on the 1st option (3rd and 6 vs MSU, sends Devrin Young on a wheel route with MSU blitzing 2 linebackers, there was no real 2nd option). Honestly, you don't have to be a great offensive coord to score points with the talent on this offense, I think this offense could be even better with a good OC, and i'm not a fan of the "Beast package".
