I just turned 40. Changed my diet completely about a year ago. Vices are still beer (albeit very good beer so not sure that is a bad thing) and BBQ (Memphis Style). But my wife sounds like yours. She rides her bike to work everyday, still looks 25.

No she drinks a 12 pack every weekend, succumbs to the munchies on a very regular basis, and still looks amazing. She is a little over 6' and about 145lbs soaking wet.

I thought Morris's system didn't match up with Gruden's? Cuz Morris runs more of a spread,.whereas Gruden runs a west coast, pro offense. Why would he be the coordinator if that's the case?

I have heard that Gruden had toured different schools to see what works best in the college game so he is probably flexible on that point.

I'm liking the sound of Morris:

Morris said, “The one thing (to hang your hat on) – we’re going to have an identity - we’re going to be extremely physical and extremely aggressive.”

He didn’t stop there.

“We are a power, physical football team offensively,” Morris said. “That is what we are going to hang our hat on. We are going to run the football.”

Did I mention I really love football??

You're gonna have to teach me about this new game of football. I have watched a lot of what I used to call football, and it never looked a thing like that.

Do they really come play in your living room?

Gruden has had meetings with Kelley about the Oregon spread offense so he is familiar with it.

"When I got fired from football, I wanted to learn about football, and it started with Oregon. I wanted to learn the spread option, and Chip Kelly was nice enough to come down (to Florida) and spend a week with me.

When I got fired, I opened up an office. I called it the FFCA, the fired football coaches of America, and I was really excited about learning some things I didn't know anything about, and one of them was the spread offense. I started with Oregon because I have a lot of respect for what they've done."

Still think it is after Kentucky barring an extraordinary loss. We lose in a normal non embarrassing fashion I think it still is most likely the 26th.
No such thing as losing to Vandy in football in non embarrassing fashion. So you're saying Monday if we lose? :p

If they were in my loving room, I wouldn't be on a message board right now :)

Mine is a chef, smokes pot, drinks beer, just took a shot of Jack with me. 5'3 110. I think what saves her is everything is made from scratch, bread, pasta, etc.

I am 42, overweight, and am amazed every day how hot my wife of 13 years is. Not sure how I did it, must have been my stunning personality. Get told every time I meet someone new how I "married up".

She is not on here, but if she was I would get between 45 and 60 brownie points for this post lol.

Posted with the hope that "the wife" is lurking on VN.

See above.

I agree. But what makes Gruden such a homerun hire is his potential to win key battles on the recruiting trail. I honestly believe that he will get the talent to win and win big. It's that saying, coaching is easy when you have better talent (that may not be the exact saying, but you get my point.)

No coach is a can't miss, but Gruden is about as close you can get IMO.

Good post 98

Wow, a head coach that's a student of the game and willing to learn different football styles and techniques. By the way, learning new offense styles and techniques allows you to also prepare for them defensively.

Get the right players and right coaches and these things will work out ok - or better.

I think this is pointless speculation but fun nonetheless, so I have to wonder why there would be a request for even money (1.5m) on the coordinator side. I think Gruden being HC would offset the need to drop 1.5m on an OC. Spend the money to shore up the weaker side IMO.
