Some of ya''ll are delusional. Those 5 stars are gonna stay at FL and Bama because those teams have a chance to be playing late into January. We'll be lucky to play at all in the month of January for a long time to come.
Like the other guy said though.. if Gruden were to be named the hire, I would be very excited, and very supportive, but I just don't see it in the long term best interest of our program. I guess I'll hang up and listen for awhile.
It's not that I doubt Boro, Lex, Gman, BCarter, et al...
...anyone who's been apart of ANY negotiation can tell you that there are always bumps in the road that must be overcome. I have little doubt that a deal will be agreed upon, but until an official announcement is made, I will remain cautiously optimistic.
"Hi my name is Nick Saban. Here are my 3 national championship rings at Bama and I also have another one I don't show people. We have a dynasty and are good enough to beat a few NFL teams. Want to be apart of what we have going?"
Not such an easy choice! It isn't going to be easy
According to some, there was on final hangup and here is the info.
It seems that Gruden is a lurker at VN. When Gruden read that a certain poster had a genuine hand carved cherry oak desk, he just had to have it. And this became the sticking point in the negotiations and almost derailed the whole deal. But the desk owner's blood just happened to be orange, and a compromise was struck. Gruden got the desk and the poster got to keep the 27 inch screen.
Believe it or not. But just wait until the "Jon Gruden, UT Football Coach" show is on and see what kind of desk he is sitting behind.

I have been doing toe touches since my last post. I WILL be one of the 25.
Whither Gruden? After a CBS report Sunday that ESPN's Jon Gruden is preparing to return to coaching, Gruden was unavailable for comment. But ESPN spokesman Bill Hofheimer had this response: "Jon remains committed to ESPN. With a third of our Monday Night Football schedule still left this season, he's focused on his analyst role and preparation for our games."
CBS reporter Jason La Canfora was pretty specific Sunday, saying Gruden is putting together "candidates to join him on his staff" and is focused on college coaching -- with Arkansas and Tennessee "prepared to get into a bidding war over him."
lol:
Well done.
btw...I know what you're referring to, but I completely missed that whole situation, any idea where I could find a *ahem* hand-carved cherry oak desk on VN?
