Clemson hurdle?

He wants the OC from Clemson but the buyout is crazy high apparently cause he just got an extension.

It's really, really close. Only the "Clemson" hurdle remains, and it doesn't appear to be to serious.

I thought the Clemson issue had a significant monetary figure attached to it?

I just wonder if there isn't some conflict of interest with him doing color commentary for MNF and being an official college head coach. Seems like you would really have to watch what you say all the time for violations. JMO, but I would think he would want to separate himself from the booth if named coach. Maybe I'm way off base

I'm just totally guessing here but I think the staff would recruit, he wouldn't mention Tennessee on the air and the minute his last MNF game is over, he will join the staff in recruiting. All imo jmo

Their big argument is no way Tennessee can pay. They ignore our boosters while flaunting their own. Here is an absurd comment one of them made that a friend sent me the link to.

I'm just guessing, but I'll say that Gruden is probably not impressed with 'Manning' type money.

I would guess tho, that even Manning may be impressed with Gruden's checking account balance.

I just know there is a ton of prep that he does for MNF...many people think he works 4 hours a week, but you can read quotes from tirico that talk about how much work goes into a broadcast. I just wouldn't think he would want to continue putting all that effort in and not put it towards all the tasks in Knoxville.
