That's what I would think too, which is why I don't understand why he's even being mentioned. Even if some booster were willing to fund that buyout it would be dumb as hell IMO. But maybe there's something else in the equation we don't know about.

I sense Hannibal knows something about a reduction.

Doesn't match the type of head coach to do that with. Sweeney has been mildly successful and is a young coach. Not likely IMO that he is the coach in waiting

Yabba Dabba Dabo is a young guy. Coach in waiting usually go to coordinators working under older coaches.

Babyvol said on TOS that if it was Gruden that he thought (or guessed, not sure) it would be announced November 30. The day before the SEC championship.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. It would be great to do it the weekend of the SECCG, to get them talking about us during the game. But, it would be a little disrespectful to the league to do it the same day. Also, a lot of football will be played throughout the day. By doing it the day before, we become the #1 sports topic on Friday, and the momentum carries into Saturday with them still talking about us.

lets assume that Gruden does accept the job... If OC Morris is out, who are the next candidates? Also, do you think his OC will come from the NFL or is he going the college route?

I think he will pluck a college OC to ease the burden of recruiting and the familiarity with the college game.
