I've been somewhat skeptical of OCI and his info but so far his coaching list, whatever the source, has meshed will with the growing rumors. FWIW, doubt he cares what I think but thought I'd toss that out there.

Skepticism is a good thing.

It's like getting married after your first wife dies. If you do it too fast it looks bad. Nothing will be announced this week IMO.

That's actually not that bad of a deal...if you get married immediately after you leave your wife, that looks BAD!

No experience

Before the SEC championship would be perfect. All the buzz it would create, Gruden as a guest at halftime or pre game. Would be amazing if that could happen.

Yes, the free publicity in the sports world that would come from a Gruden hire would be worth the cost to get him!!!!!

Gruden could be announced as the UT head coach at a press conference at 3 a.m. on December 25, 2012, and it would still have the same impact on recruiting as announcing it during the SECCG or BCSCG. The athletic department needs to get some additional phone lines for the coaches because they will be flooded with calls from recruits across the country.

My father-in-law (who is a Michigan fan) and my brother-in-law (who is a Florida fan) told me yesterday that UT was never nationally relevant to the football scene. They said this when I said I wanted a coach to get us back to relevancy.

Tennessee is one of 11 BCS National Champions. I think that is pretty darn relevant, agree?

Don't disagree with that at all. We're just like kids at Christmas and I would love to steal some of Bama's spotlight.
