"From what people are telling me, Tennessee doesn't seem to be pursuing him as much as everyone has thought and implied the last couple of weeks.

I believe some third party people pursued or explored Gruden as early as late October. I don't think those third party people and Hart are pursuing him at this point.

Are you bothered by this because you think people are believing Hubbs is in on the smokescreen?

I don't believe that at all. However, it makes perfect sense to me that he could be getting fed certain info that those involved would want out.

Listen...the AD and chancellor didn't have a presser to announce 6 million back to athletics so they could hire some joe blow coach off the street (insert mid-level coach). IMO Hart knows what hes doing and he knows whats best for UT. The man knows his job is on the line just like DD did.

Maybe Jon Gruden has been the "smoke screen" all along. What will the "OG's" do when they find out Gruden was never even a candidate? Yes, I would find that hilarious and have to laugh in a big way. Hart could be pulling off the biggest "smoke screen" in coaching history. :eek:lol:

A capable coach would have had us playing in a New Years day bowl in Florida. This team(even with the worst defense in UT history) was not far from having a 9-10 win year.

IMO, I think they got the 18 million (over the next 3 years keep in mind) to ease the cost of the 9 million in buyouts that have to be paid (over the next 3 years). See how that timeline kinda works out? I may be wrong and the 18 million was to hire Gruden and staff. Something leads me to think it's not.
