College coaches are given a certain measure of control and input over those areas, but giving a coach complete control over one or more of those areas doesn't work in the college setting. Not even Saban has that. He's also not real keen over the idea of having compliance people having to approve every move, and that's something a school absolutely cannot budge on in the current climate.

Additionally, coaches that come from the NFL or other schools may have sponsor contracts that conflict with or interferewith a school's obligations and/or state policies on state employee endorsements."

What Hugh Frees has done there is amazing. If we fell way down the list I feel he would be better than Kirby Smart, Charlie Strong and Dan Mullen.

I don't believe that at all. However, it makes perfect sense to me that he could be getting fed certain info that those involved would want out.

Hubbs isn't apart of a smokescreen. He wasn't apart of the randy Shannon smokescreen and he won't be apart of any in the future. He is cautious to report . That's why you can take what he reports to the bank as true. When he said DD was fired after Missouri he was 100per correct even thought the AD didn't want him to say it which is my point.

I'm actually good friends with many past and current players, as well as people who work in the AD, and i still wouldnt consider myself an insider.

Although, i will say, Hardesty has told me via text message that Gruden is a done deal.
