Read that jmoore said that Dave Hart has never talked to Gruden and does no intend to do so. He said that Gruden is not an option.

My guess is jmoore doesn't know anymore than what he reads on the paysites he subscribes to.. It's the same place he gets his recruiting info.. Anything else is just a guess like so many others...

I am encouraged that Hubbs, Hyams and Basilio don't seem to know what the hell is going on. They aren't getting the info they did under Hammy and they are guessing on a lot of things. Notice all three of them admit their own bias that they don't believe Gruden would ever come here?

What do you mean by "due to his present contract"? Not being snobby, I'm seriously asking. I don't know much about his present contract. You don't think that Gruden would make a deal with Tennessee without talking to ESPN first?

He is under contract for MNF; he is not going to do anything the wrong way. Again, if a deal has been made, ESPN knows it already.

I see that. But, isn't he under contract for 3 more years with ESPN? How does he get out of that cleanly? I know this was probably covered in Gruden II but I am obviously late to the party.

There are ways to negotiate out of a contract. My point is that there is no smoke screen or misdirection in play to keep things a secret from ESPN. JMO

Hubbs didn't really say anything we didn't already know. When I read it, I figured the third party he mentioned was Arkansas.

Questions:

Is it true that an MOU has been signed?

What are the circumstances in the MOU?

What names have to be signed in a MOU? It's not an actual contract, right? It doesn't even have to be Gruden or even Hart, Cheek, etc?

Is there MONEY given before the contract is signed? Or at least stated in the MOU?

MOU just means terms are agreed upon. It is not binding to either party. Don't worry guys. This has been done for a while. If something happens I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. For that to happen a disaster bigger than Kiffin leaving in the middle of the night will have to happen. Stay calm.

So when can we expect recruits to hear from our new coach? :)

The people demanding answers and getting indignant that more concrete details aren't being provided really need to chill.

Until a coaching decision is made, this is (of course) all speculation. Several folks have very publicly vouched for the veracity of this Gruden business, so it's fair to say they all have their own good reasons for believing what they believe. I highly doubt they would spread completely baseless information on VN - what purpose would that serve? They would gain nothing and likely suffer a lot of ridicule for rumor mongering. I suppose a troll could do the same thing to rile everyone up, but then none of the trusted folks giving bits of information are trolls.

I guess my bottom line is that you are free to believe whatever you want. If you feel like you're being misled or are not being provided with constant updates, you are more than welcome to find your own sources to quench your thirst. Nobody has an obligation to satisfy your demands, because much like me, you probably aren't bringing anything to the table but commentary about information given by others. I'm all for the responsible release of inside info, and I think there are about five or six people giving us their good faith answers about what is happening based on personal connections that happen to be more substantial than my own.

If things don't go exactly the way I expected them to, I guess it's my own fault for not having better resources. Take everything in and assign merit as you will, but the whining and complaining is lame.

Deal with it, people.
