Tried to ignore it the best I can but would be lying if I said it doesn't get to me some Coasty.

I guess right now I am still holding strong, Hubbs is the hardest thing for me.... but he just said on Sports Source IF Gruden does not become the head coach.

I thought last night he was saying they stoped talking to Gruden?????

Right now it would help me most to hear from OldVol, Jay, Gman,DTO, Lex and those guys are saying...I know Bcarter is here and saying 99% but I want to see what here from the faithful

So doc_vol and OV seem to be convinced Monday (tomorrow) will be a good day for us, as far as Gruden goes. I am not doubting, but unless Gruden does not do MNF tomorrow which he is I do not see them announcing until Tuesday. ESPN will not want the distraction coming out until after the game...IMO. /unless of course he announces on air which I think there is a rule against...

Morning y'all. Great day to be a Tennessee Vol.

(*DISCLAIMER* I am not an insider. My statement "Great day to be a Tennessee Vol" is not code for "Gruden is coming" or "Deal is done". I am just a regular guy who loves the Vols. I'm GWN, and I approved this message.)

Who told you it's going to be a great day?

I know for a fact that what Coach Price says about UT up here on the mtn is indeed correct. UT has been invisible. We had a walkon up there last year in Knoxville and was asked after he got hurt to look elsewhere. Also know for a fact that they have been more than absent with the Bell kid at Ridgeland. When you have that kind of talent within 2 hours of campus...I would think that it becomes a priority. Ridgeland has sent 3 or 4 kids to SEC schools. Hoping that a new staff will make it a priority to lock up the kids that are SEC caliber...especially the ones that are within shouting distance. :good!:

I don't think Hubbs knows a damn thing. He talks in circles on the subject. That actually encourages me.

I supported Dooley thru the 1st half of the Akron game and then I was done..Shortly thereafter is when I found out that he wasn't the classy guy that he was being portrayed to be..Very disappointing to say the least...The more I heard the more disappointment came over me.:ermm:

Morning SMOKEY I see you survived last night...how are you today..

I don't believe you.

The worst thing about this article is that it reflects on how desparate UT was when it hired Dooley. This is a personality thing and should have been uncovered in the inititial hiring process. In addition, it also shows that the AD and administration does very little monitoring of how the staff is perceived.

This is scary folks - and the problem runs far deeper than a single coach and their staff. The culture at UT has become thoroughly arrogant, corrupt and wreckless. It starts at the top (Governor, Chancellor, Biggest Boosters, etc.) and has been building for decades. If the reports that Gruden is asking for more control are true and that is the key snag in the process, that shows you that he, too, sees the corruption that is in the way. He is right to demand control - because otherwise, nothing will change.

But he is a good guy and advanced the program and left it better..........

Give me a ****ing break.

No need to pile on, but certainly no level of gratitude is required there.[/QUOTE He is not a good guy.I heard something he did to a staff employee of 40 yrs at UT.If I would have been there I would have knocked his teeth down his throat for.He treated employees very bad.Had no respect for them at all.

He will leak some BS story to Hubbs about Gruden's demands being unprecedented and that they illustrated that he did not understand the complexities of NCAA compliance. The sheep will lap it up and everyone will rally around Kirby Smart (Hart's Plan A from the beginning).

Could be. I don't know enough about Hart to know whether he's a straight-shooter or FOS. He could be FOS for all I know, and last week's press conference a total put on. It could all be a set up for K. Smart.

There is a lot of talk around here about Bell. He has five stars on Scout, and IS a huge Vol fan, and I know for fact they were late to the party in showing the interest that Alabama, Ohio State and other top schools showed. He is leaning toward Bama, and why wouldn't he?? Saban thinks he hangs the moon, but Derek Dooley barely gives him the time of day. GAG.

If Wesley Willis wrote a song about JG it would go like this:

Once upon a time, a young coach started his career at Tennessee
He quickly moved up the pro ranks
He advanced the last place Raiders to 12-4 by the 2000 season

He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee

When Jon Gruden returned to Tennessee in 2013
He brought the 5-7 Vols to the SEC Championship during his first year
Saban, Miles, and Richt saw their recruiting go down hill

He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee

Jon Gruden wins the SEC Championship in his second year
He follows that up with a National Championship his third year
He returns Tennessee to its rightful place in football

He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee
He goes back to Tennessee

man, I hope it is Gruden.

Just not sure why $$ is being wasted by the $1000's this week to fly around and speak with a few coaches. Seems like a lot of money to waste to be a smokescreen.

Don't get mad. I'm just saying.
