But he is a good guy and advanced the program and left it better..........

Give me a ****ing break.

No need to pile on, but certainly no level of gratitude is required there.

Yeah, I don't want to hear how this guy did US a favor by taking such a horrible program and making it WORSE and received millions for it.

Anyone heard anything from former players? Someone said late last night that they were all getting wind that Gruden is our coach.

The article will not hurt us anymore than those awesome relationships Dooley forged. This is only the tip of the iceberg.

We are too late in the game with this class. It's going to take time to rebuild relationships. It's either do it the moral way, or start paying cash.

To the poster that says we sound like Grudenville. Between the Webb, CAK, Catholic, airport, and other sightings around campus I tend to agree. That sort of hogwash has taken over a decent discussion here imo.

I agree... those who are ultra negative are bad but the ones who who post such things do more to harm us than help us

I believe we get Gruden... but more thatn than I want real facts

The whole article says that they thought Dooley was arrogant, didn't return calls, etc. Schools like Bama/Ohio state would be there but no show from Dooley in our own stomping grounds.

Like I said, I supported Dooley longer than most, and I am very disappointed in what I'm finding out after the fact.

Caller to Sunday Sportstalk asked Hubbs about Gruden to UT. He said he'd have to see it to believe it. Doesn't seem to be moving in that direction, but he's not shutting the door completely on the possibility. Will be interesting to him to see how Hart manages the PR around Gruden if we don't get him.

I supported Dooley thru the 1st half of the Akron game and then I was done..Shortly thereafter is when I found out that he wasn't the classy guy that he was being portrayed to be..Very disappointing to say the least...The more I heard the more disappointment came over me.:ermm:

If former players know Swain should be in Vegas at the poker table.

Why does Hart have to manage it? Did Hart come out and tell the fanbase he was going to get Jon Gruden? Hart said he was going to hire a coach to get Tennessee back to it's rightful place in the SEC. If the hire is Sonny Dykes or Butch Jones and he gets the job done, Hart has accomplished what he set out to do.
