This whole thing is getting pretty boring. But there's no football left so I guess it's something to do. Can't get excited about SECCG cause I don't want either team to win. Can't get excited about NCG cause I don't want either one of those teams to win either.

I agree. Although, I don't like ND, my heart did a little happy dance last night when USC got spanked

Some of these control issue problems really don't make too much sense to me. Although there haven't been specifics, those in the know have hinted that control issues have come down to recruiting practices and even as far as Gruden wanting assistant Athletic director status (siap on another site).

It is just hard for me to believe that Gruden wants the ability to skirt the rules and is using that as leverage in a contract negotiation. It also doesn't make sense that he would want to be assistant athletic director either. I just can't see how these snags would make a deal fall through. Everything hits snags, and hopefully these are just made up snags put out by the AD.

As more and more comes out about Dooley I hear he was more of a control freak than anybody knows

I still think Hart screws this hire up and if its not a grand slam hire then they need to padlock Neyland. Like I posted last night , I think Hart pulls A Hammy and goes to the flea market and see what's on sale. That's where Hammy found Dooley.

Hart stated twice in his press conference that financial deterrents would not be an issue in this hire. I don't see him feeding off the bottom of the barrel after making that statement.

I hope like heck that wasn't a 'let me tell them what they want to hear' kinda thing

I think there are no control issues. I think people are saying that because its not finalized. I think its just due process.

Random post but... A friend invited me to watch the Iron Bowl yesterday and I went. (I have a bucket list to watch every major CFB rivalry game.) He took me to the Museum and I swear, they literally worship Bear Bryant. I watched the video of him and he sounded like the drunk uncle at Christmas! The most interesting conversation though was with the family I went with who are boosters. They told me the "insider" story of how Mal Moore recruited Saban. Very similar to the way Hart is playing this hire. Anyway, thought I'd post my cool story...

My fears also that it will a budget coach for lack of high level coach interest. Then they can remove forty thousand seats and call it sellouts. I doubt that would happen but it's happen once. We'll see.

How are things today? I'm still good with everything on my end! (after reading what I typed, that can be read many different ways! LOL)

I am great except for feeling like an old tom cat that was on the prowl all night.

Also still all in with Gruden!
