She lives there because Jon coached the Bucs and they haven't moved. If he takes a job somewhere do you not think she will go with him? If he has choices do you think she would want him to go to a place closer to her family if that is an option? Why would she uproot now just to move? Jon is not coaching Tampa again so they will move.

Hart knows that GRUDEN is his man, but until he has ink on paper he must maintain the perceived reality of a legitimate coaching search.

This is the only way he can get his 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices to interview -- in case of an 11th hour breakdown in the negotiations with Gruden.

I give it a 75% chance of being Gruden, but that 25% chance could become a Dooley 2.0 hire if our next best options get scared off... Out of respect for UT, Gruden isn't going to tip Hart's hand either... This is why it's so silent.

I heard Ainge & Co agreeing with a caller this morning around 9AM -- That it "couldn't hurt to throw public offers at Miles and other top targets"... THIS COULDN'T BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

Nobody wants to be the SECOND CHOICE, let alone the THIRD, FOURTH or even FIFTH... Each slot below first choice is exponentially worse for the simple reason that it looks bad for the eventual hire.

How would your wife feel if right before you proposed you threw out offers of marriage to 2 or 3 other women? :D

I think the thought is, when you're a multi-multimillionaire, and your husbands flies out of town every week/weekend to work ANYWAY, you can pretty much live wherever you want. Just my thought.

I think this is a very interesting topic of discussion and worth holding on to.

(As his book suggests) If Gruden is a man of integrity and has these old school values, then perhaps this is due diligence and personal to him. I would totally buy into that.

A good man's integrity would cause him to cancel a date at the last minute if it wasn't the right thing to do.

Thoughts?

I'm beggining to think Gruden will not happen...........this thing would have already been done if he wanted to come here. UT has done everything in their power from administration to the boosters to get this thing done. Gruden has an idiot for a agent and he along with Jon are atttention whores. Im not sure that UT can even bring a big name hire in at this point. IMO we end up with a Fedora or some up and coming name.

Hope Im wrong
