Glad to see some positives this morning. I'm sure when I check back later today I will have to put my waders on to wade through the BS again. But then again "DON'T LET THEM NEGATIVE WAVES GET YOU DOWN GRUDENITES. :)"

I think it comes down to this:

If Dave Hart is just now starting his search than he is a lazy, incompetent idiot, and Vol fans should not donate a penny to the athletic department, buy Tennessee merchandise, or attend a single game in any sport until he is fired.

I for one believe Dave Hart hasn't started a search because he's had his guy all along (Jon Gruden). The most telling piece of information regarding this was the press conference. Hart was way too confident in the criteria of who would be hired and basically repeated much of the information the OGs had been saying months prior.

Further, if the deal has hit a snag (which I don't believe it has) I think the reason for this lies completely on Gruden's end. If so, he has been very dishonest with a lot of major players affiliated with UT (to the point of almost being Kiffin-like). All of this brings us back to the original point that there hasn't been a search because there has only been one candidate.

Oh memories -

When I was kid my brother and I wouldn't shut up on a long car ride. So my dad gets pissed and pulls over the car, yanks us both out of the car.

he proceeded to walk us to the back of the car and puts our hand on it and says - Good luck keeping up - he jumps back in and starts driving. My brother is having a meltdown and I am running as hard as I can until he dissappeared around the corner.

he came back about 3 minutes later but by that time the world had ended!

True Story.

Reading between the lines about the "cold feet" by Gruden, I think Cindy n Jon r thinking 5 yrs down the road. She prob knows he will ultimately be in pros n do you uproot fam 2x or stick in Tampa till pros come for him. Tough choice. Sometimes we foyer they're a fam w kids.

San diego vol, didnt want to address your question in cliff note, but babyvol is normally very good. Lws endorsed him as well as.

He post what he is told from people he trust. Normally has good sources.

Nonsense. UNC-CH and Duke don't work together anything. In fact, because of the way the UNC system is organized, UNC-CH would not do anything without NCSU being a part of the discussion. I'm not suggesting the UNC-CH and NCSU would have to be a package deal. However, you wouldn't be able to talk to one without talking to both. Ultimately each would make its own decision, but both would have to be at the table initially. Also, Duke would have to be a separate pursuit and highly unlikely - they are looking to be paired with the upper echelon of Academic universities and would view only Vanderbilt and maybe UK as anywhere close to that standard.

Why would Ainge participate in this mass media smokescreen? He and Jay Bay are all about being "rogue" and not marching to the beat with the rest of the media.

I've never had the impression that Ainge or TSR have any formal or otherwise cozy connections with the UTAD, so what's the reason Ainge would blatantly put out ridiculous info that Hart is just now starting his search. I mean c'mon man, does he really believe his listeners will believe that!

But why, that is the question...

True story. My wife and I were taking the boys out to eat. Just as we were pulling out of the driveway, they asked, "where are we going?" Told them to a certain steak house. They started in about not wanting to go there. My wife looks at me and says turn around. Turned around and went back to the house, put the truck in park. She hands them a twenty and says, get out! As they stood in front of the truck dumbfounded, we both laughed as we backed out of the driveway and went to eat a steak. The oldest was 17 so they could go get something.
