I mean for their official ESPN duties. I promise you Corso, and Herbstreet won't be flying commercial. ESPN get's them to their GIG on a private jet. Even the VOLS can provide this service for him. Yes, he probably resorts to commercial flights for some functions, but when you are talking about the amount of money being talked about here, McGhee Tyson is NOT the weak link in the chain. Do you think Saban worries about flying in and out of Tuscaloosa?
I'm getting weary of explaining simple crap like this to the non-critical thinkers in the crowd but here we go.........
Cindy likes Tampa. The kids like Tampa. They don't WANT to move.
Jon likes coaching. He wants to be a coach again. He will NOT be coaching in Tampa again. So..... and pay attention here.... they will have to move somewhere, wherever he lands a coaching job.
Still with me???
Finally, knowing the he will be coaching SOMEWHERE, Cindy would rather that somewhere be Knoxville, than anywhere else.
Got it now?? She wants to be in Tampa but if they have to move she would like it to be to Knoxville.
Hope that was simple enough for you to follow. Now you don't have to ask the question repeatedly. :hi:
No worries. There's nothin to hide.
I'm not sure exactly how to define what I was told...it was vague. But without assuming and only guessing...yes, loyalty to not only his role, but the people he works with, the network, all the above.
Then why was Chris Fowler standing in the check-in line right in front of me after a game in Columbus a few years back? ESPN does not have a fleet of planes to carry all of its announcers.
Here is another thing for you to chew on. I would wager that only a select few of their announcers are permitted to pay for first class seats. Now, many of them accrue miles and can upgrade that way. I did sit next to Dave Barnett in first class a few years ago and he was on his way to do a game. I didn't ask if he paid for the seat or upgraded because of status (I did the latter).
Tampa would be infinitely more convenient for a frequent traveler than Knoxville and mainly because you can fly direct virtually anywhere you want to go.
"TVGuide.com: Geez. It sounds like you need to talk to ESPN about getting your own private jet.
Herbstreit: Yeah, that would work. They do fly me privately from GameDay to the Saturday night game, but the rest of the travel is not private. If you can help me get that done, I'd appreciate it."

Are they revising their plans to keep the fans from storming the field?
