Our AD should really gripe you, IMO. He refuses to hire Jon David Gruden. Who doesn't hire Jon Gruden?

So now, the spin is that the boosters backing this whole thing didn't agree to pay what was wanted for the assistants? We came this far and the hang up was over the amount of money for the assistants? This sounds seriously off to me.

Looks like Dr B is doing some serious back stroking...

Put it to you a different way... if we are really that far apart on 1 or 2 million dollars, do you think that our two main boosters really care about that small of an amount, when they are worth $14Billion collectively.

Statistically, that amount is worth even less to them.


No one has said ANYTHING on the record yet. Remember, AL went so far as to actually HIRE Rich Rod... and then the boosters stepped in and shut it down.. We arent that far along. These people have money, their net worth, and more importantly billionaire's pride on the line.

Everyone agrees we needed a homerun hire. The names we are left to choose our potential head coach from doesn't have a homerun feeling to them. This sucks if info about Gruden is true.

I hate to ever say I agree with anything that Pennington says but I agree....the University if this is not happening has fouled up in not controlling the story

Why can't they understand this ....? Hart may have felt the pressure and just bought some time to to stop the leaks untill he and Gruden could work this out.

When Lamonte says there has been NO TALK with ANYONE from Tennessee... I KNOW THAT IS A LIE

Correct. They never should have left it to another entity (Lamonte) to dispel the rumors.

I was told to expect lots of misinformation, weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth, I had no idea it would be at this level. I really believe (no source) that there is a battle for the soul of UT's leadership and not just the AD. What you ask is possible, but after all this, I'm not quite sure what to think.
