My curiosity is peeked. I'm an accountant so the money stuff, to me, is always most telling.

Any elaboration you can put out?

From what I understand, hart wanted assurance the money would really be there. The Boosters don't trust hart. So a 3rd party has the money. (Just the 1st 3 yrs worth) Its use is strictly defined.

I honestly don't know how any of this would work. I only have my assumptions.

If it's true that the AD still has the $ in their bank accounts, and after what has been reported re: the rift between boosters and Hart, it just adds to the overall confusion.

And adds more to the theory that we're being played.

Even if dead some things don't make a lot of sense and it's fun to speculate and it would be interesting to know what really happened.

Here's why I ask: my information came abruptly from two places at the same time Thursday night. And when I asked what happened I got nothing...and then yesterday got some veiled references to Hart perhaps being...unhelpful lets say.

I can't speculate at the present but it is interesting. we shall see.

All I have heard is that a big argument between the AD and some money guys. My understanding is it started Wednesday evening then Thursday it blew up. I have nothing direct as of Thursday night. I received a txt that said we have a problem. Next thing I know I heard the TFP was going to break that Gruden had the offer. Then it all went dark. Best I can piece together is a disagreement occurred Wednesday then Thursday evening some of the inside guys said we are going to let the media in on it in an effort to force the issue. I am just not sure it was Thunder as some have speculated. Who knows at this point. I just know enough to say the door is not totally shut.

They make pledges and it would have been for so many dollars per year--not all at once. I sincerely doubt UT is sitting on $50 million of their money.

The Gruden camp knows the bad PR that they are getting. I find it odd that he hasn't released a statement to Knox media saying something along the lines of how he loves Knoxville and the Vols however he has decided to stay at ESPN. They have family that lives here and you know some nut is going to give them a hard time. Just doesn't pass the smell test. It sure looks like this was done for more time.

Nothing makes any sense in all that has gone on in the last couple of weeks..The only thing that makes sense is Jon Gruden is the next HC at the University of Tennessee. So now Hart can go to other boosters with this sad tale of needing money because the original boosters pulled out. These freshly PO'd other boosters (because Lamonte told them they are living in Fantasy Land) will pony up and when Hart has raised the additional monies to pay for the assistant coaches.......Gruden can have second thoughts and agree to terms. Hart becomes the hero for rasising additonal funds.
