It is still on with Gruden..It is amazing how Hubbs now has info on how interviews are going and where interviews are etc..such an open search..LOL Whoever set this elaborate play up deserves an Oscar. Nothing makes any sense in all that has gone on in the last couple of weeks..The only thing that makes sense is Jon Gruden is the next HC at the University of Tennessee. Hope it is soon....................eace2:

The money is only available to hire one guy or it has to be returned. It's not for Hart to hire anyone else

The Gruden camp knows the bad PR that they are getting. I find it odd that he hasn't released a statement to Knox media saying something along the lines of how he loves Knoxville and the Vols however he has decided to stay at ESPN. They have family that lives here and you know some nut is going to give them a hard time. Just doesn't pass the smell test. It sure looks like this was done for more time.

A little more on the AD side. I have told you guys I have friends inside and they have been pretty quite or clueless. One is a "brother" to me. I finally got to have a long conversation with him on Thursday. He is not a paper jockey either. He said the info inside literally changes every 30 min. The interesting thing is that Gruden is never really discussed it is like a taboo subject. Every other coach in the country has been the target but no real talk of Jon. I find it odd because we all know he is the guy that people want. Too much just does not add up.

I don't think the AD has been involved in the "Jon Gruden" subject, this has all been handle by the big $$$

From what I understand, hart wanted assurance the money would really be there. The Boosters don't trust hart. So a 3rd party has the money. (Just the 1st 3 yrs worth) Its use is strictly defined.

So somewhere in the world is an escrow account with a ton of cheddar in it earmarked for Gruden, but it has not been withdrawn yet.

Surely it would take a few days to do so wouldn't it?

To all in this forum, if I sounded this ridiculous during this process, I am very very sorry and am embarrassed.

Truth be told you are part of what ratcheted up the expectations. I don't think it's fair of you to mock someone now fie sounding "ridiculous". Of course Gruden isn't the only coach that can win here but he was the surest thing for recruiting, which of course is the life blood - we already have a lot of ground to make up

This is another story that looks negatively for Hart.

However, I'm withholding my judgment for/against Hart until this entire coaching search is over. Without the final result, no one can say with any accuracy if he's doing his job. That's why I think it's silly to be calling for his head at this moment.

I'm going to wait and see what happens.

for one, not contacting Gruden's camp until yesterday- that, in and of itself, is a fireable offense

or, if he denies that report, then for fumbling on the best possible candidate for our head coaching position

That's what I was about to post. I work with a very large company that owns a lot of real estate and personal property and handle their property taxes. We use escrow agents for the properties with big tax bills. This sounds very credible.
