There's only one way we're getting Gruden and that is if he stops doing MNF for the last few games. There's no way we can wait almost 3 weeks to hire somebody and then they come straight into an NCAA dead period.

By December 15th, Auburn and Arky will probably have their coaches. What if we didn't?

But if December 23rd comes, and Dave Hart announces Gruden, all will be forgiven, and we'll "understand it better by and by"

Just to clarify, Liper is not a new poster. He has probably been here longer than anybody. Maybe him and a couple of other people. He is as old school as it gets on VN.

I think he may also be a former vol, but OV may know better.

After reading what you wrote and thinking about your comments about you think info is being released on a delayed basis...meaning things that actually did happen is being released but a few weeks later. This is how it is portrayed to those in the know...to those in the media, there are statements made that Gruden NEVER was interested, and UT is moving on with the search.

Now, here is my final point: if info is being delayed 3 weeks or so, and we just got the info that occurred 3 weeks ago when we thought the announcement would occur any day now, then it seems that we have about 3 more weeks to have the actual announcement. Guess when that would be?...right after JG's last Monday night game on December 22nd!!! The timeline fits perfectly. Flame away.

Where did you get 15th? I know from Harts comment that he was going to ask ucla for permission to talk with mora on xmas day lol but i guess that dont matter anymore since he talked to Gundy and didnt ask for permission from okie st...Hat definitely is trying to extend timeline in this for ONE obvious reason just didnt know the date...when did he say he was announcing 15th?

At this point if we can get Gruden, I wouldnt care if it went into the dead period before announcing it. He will still be able to pull in a top 10 class.
