I love that Ancient Aliens guy!

Just for the record, is anyone else appalled by the fact that schools like NIU get a BCS game and UGA gets snubbed to the Capital One bowl after losing to what we can only assume are the 2012 Nat'l Champs?

Only two teams from a conference can go to a BCS bowl game. Given that constraint, was NIU the highest ranked eligible team?

And thank you pug and patti I appreciate it. I will raise my son clad in orange as I have been with or without gruden.

Thank you I had a buddy try to get me to check this place out years ago but I never did. And yes I do know the maxims I was born a vol from a family of vols. Goin back generations in my family. I was the guy in high school writing my term paper on the University. Don't know if people do this but this is 3 generations of vols me, my dad, and my son

Go VOLS !!! Great picture. I can relate to that. Tennessee Football, its not just a game, its a Tradition. My Dad was in school on the GI Bill and took me to my 1st game when I was 6 (1957). I started taking my grandkids to a game each year when they turn 5-6. Four of the 5 have been and in another couple of years, the youngest will get to go to her first game.

soon.

It was that agreement that was made, that anybody from one of the non AQ conferences that was 16th or above in the BCS final rankings would make it into the mix of the BCS bowls. Since Nebraska had their butts handed to them sooooo bad, they fell far enough to let NIU up into the final 16. Therefore, with the agreements that had been put into place, they HAD to be allowed into a BCS game.

I have never shut the door on anything, pulled it together a little but by no means have I closed the door!! Lets get it done Tennessee!! :loco:

I'm out. My wife is pulling me to bed. She thinks I need serious help now because of all the time I've spent on here since the Gruden train picked up steam. In fact, we have a bet going. If Gruden is not named the coach, then I have to hold her every night in January. But if Gruden does become the coach, then every other night in January she has to ... well, kids could be reading. I'm out.

SOON!

Thank you and I also was 6 when I was at my first game. It's not just a game its tradition and family. It's about the memories and a chance to be apart of something bigger than ourselves. I played football for 10 years before I went to college and it taught me to be a man and that's what it's about. Never quit and always overcome. Just like the radio commercial life is orange and white.
