hello Wilson......... I came to this decision about a week ago, hard to do because my heart wants Gruden... but my head is saying... looking real bad

Who knows ... as Smokey says....Christmas is a time of miracles :dunno:

We are looking at "solid" coaches...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Just for a change of pace..Nothing more..

But people won't know who I am now b/c everyone got used to the Chucky Dolls..I and they will have to adjust.

Ok question on this one. Can someone please explain what Hart is doing with the other coaches he is speaking with? He is just interviewing at this time to take the info to the boosters and BOT? I just want off this ride already. Announce already!

That is the problem. No one knows what Hart is doing. As far as I can tell all the "interviews" are hearsay, not confirmed.

To be fair, that is 6 million on top of the current budget.

Fulmer's buyout will be ending soon also.

Buyouts are almost always paid in installments.

Fulmer's ends this month is what I've heard.

I know they are paid in installments.......so we have Dooley, his staff until they find new jobs, the new coach buyout from his current school, buyouts for any of his staff that have one and we still have to pay all the new guys.

Hasn't Hart made a point of saying how shocked he is over the UTAD financials?

I like it...

I like it... :hi:

I understand that below Gruden there is no home-run hire, but the fact that two of the three top names are in a BCS bowl game this year isn't that bad is it? Maybe triples? I mean the fact that we're having to offer in the $4-5 million range means it sure will be a better hire than what we've had, right?

This is a real question, not me stating this as a fact.

I don't know either way but Gundy's contract is around $3.3 million, according to this site. So I guess we would have to trump that if we wanted him. :eek:hmy:

Salaries & Contracts

Kind of depressing seeing what we would have to pay to trump some of these salaries.

I agree with you, but I don't see getting a coach with much of a track record for less than 4 mil. Just for example (only), if we went for Franklin it would need to be probably mid 4 mil.

Got it now Oddball.... how you doing?

I would like to send you a friend request so I can find you when all this shiz is over???

Everything points to Hart having someone in the bag early. Gruden or not I believe it is done. Now with all the BS floating around it is impossible to nail down the WHO, however I believe it is going to be BIG. Too much money involved to end up with a little fish.

Now if the big name is not Gruden, then WHO? Give me some some real home-run hires. Not this Mora, Gundy, Fisher crap... Give me your wish list.
Agree you don't move 18 mil over 3 years to athletic fund to hire strong...cjg you do

This what I expect for a non-Gruden hire. Who would we get 3-4 mil?

Is it really worth 4 to 5 million to take a chance on Gundy being able to compete in the SEC? I'm also sure he will want a hefty buyout considering our current state of affairs. No way he is worth the risk at that price tag. Not to mention Gundy will not unite the fan base nor will he garner much excitement.

Dooley was one of the worst coaches I have ever seen. So there are many many coaches that are an upgrade from Dooley.

I ask you this is Strong-Gundy a better coach/recruiter than Richt, Muschamp, Spurrier, Miles, Saban, Sumlin, B Kelly, C Kelly, B Stoops, Patterson, Peterson???
