This is just flat out ****ing embarrassing. No matter what happens in the end it just shows exactly where we are at as a program. It is utterly disappointing and disturbing.

I'm in this place too.

Gruden is not coming. He turned it down. The CBS story was leaked by the athletic dept just before the real leaks happened so everyone would know Currie tried.

But if Schiano is the guy - or if it's true that CURRIE WAS EVEN SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IT - I'm turning in my Vol card. I'm from Knoxville. I'm a UT alum from the Manning era. I've been cheering for my Vols since I was a wee thing. I bleed orange, even through the hell of the past 10 years. But I will go cheer for Auburn or Clemson or Texas A&M. Line in the sand, there are some things you just don't compromise on. In the end, it's a football game, and I refuse to support an administration that is okay with bringing this on board.

And quite frankly, if this is all a big smokescreen for some other coach, I still think Currie should be fired for even entertaining the idea. Something is rotten in Knoxville.

That's commendable. Brice said it was AD people that he got his texts from..This could have been from both ends, either way it is a crapstorm of biblical proportions.

I may not be able to personally fire Currie, but we as a fan base can sure make him want to get the hell out of Knoxville. He should be fired immediately and replaced by david blackburn. This might be the shortest term as an AD in TN history. The only way he keeps hisnjob is if he were to role out gruden or petersen. That's it. He looks like the biggest dumbass on campus right now. No matter if they hire Schiano or have to pull the plug on the deal, Currie needs to go. If this was a smokescreen, it blew up in his face. If he is seriously considering hiring him he's incompetent.
