I know I am new here, but I still don't understand why people are so upset with the so called "insiders." I have lurked for years and decided to finally make an account so I could join in the fun. When I see replies like this one, it just doesn't make sense to me. All they are doing is providing information. They aren't telling you what to believe or not to believe. It is up to each individual to take anyone's information and make up their own mind, no matter who posts it. I am not calling you out or anything like that, I just really don't understand it.

Preface this by saying, for the umpteenth time, I'm still in on Gruden. It's not about whether anyone believes me, it's about trusting the what I was told and the person who told me. I absolutely do, and internet admirers and scoffers alike aren't going to change that for me.

Opinion to follow:

This is Haslam. Last minute attempt to do EXACTLY what he did in 2012. Back door an unacceptable coach in an attempt at grasping and clawing to remain the controlling force behind UT Athletics. I don't say guiding force, because that would imply a direction in mind.

It's about the control, plain and simple. It's gone on too long. It has to stop. If the Haslams won't step aside graciously, they need to be forced aside.

I'm still on Gruden, and I hope that the people who did the very real work to get him to the Hill will send the message home to the Haslams for the last time, that their time is DONE.

One person's opinion, FWIW.

If Gruden really wants it, he could just release a statement right now and this whole thing would be taken care of by Tuesday.

Unfortunately this is our fan base and no one has a clue if Currie even had anything at all to do with it. Yes protest the possibility of the coach coming in, but Currie is innocent until he is not. A little ridiculous

Tickled to see Coastypop FINALLY catching on. Weeks ago you were told the Gruden deal was done, including supposed attorneys on here weighing in "yea a done deal." I tried then and it is finally sinking in for some now, you don't fight for a "done deal" you don't spend time and money interviewing other candidates when you have a "done deal." The fact is there was never a done deal with Gruden and people promoting that whether they were lied to about it were simply promoting a falsehood.

However, Ohio State insiders stated that Currie was in Columbus today talking to Schiano. I don't think this was a smoke screen.

I’m pissed

I’m pissed at Currie AND Gruden for not shutting down the grumors if it was never happening

I’m pissed we bought into it as a possibility and ate up all the trolls and false information...again sigh

I’m pissed Currie is stupid enough to go after a guy that...well you know...has no integrity

I’m pissed Currie and the AD didn’t vet schiano any better

I’m pissed less than 24 hours after getting our ass beat by vandy it’s gotten worse and we are the laughing stock of college football programs bar none right now

I’m pissed Currie and the AD won’t make ANY statement about the $$$$ show we are experiencing right now. Heads should roll

I’m pissed about so much more but I’m tired of typing.


We as fans need to stick to together and clean up this mess. So many I would give a shot at before someone you google and find court documents tied to a pedophile case. Currie is probably some after this. Fulmer and Peyton should lead the coaching search now
