Ok so ol Finebaum ( can’t stand the dude) said on ESPN that Gruden turned us down. I’d love to hear that come out of the horses mouth. FWIW I have enjoyed all this Gruden talk. It was the most I’ve been excited about TN football in a long time

FYI, don’t believe ANYTHING from the Washington Post, their reputation and accuracy is worse than the National Enquirer, been sued many times. Retracted dozens of stories. Sad, but that is the ‘media’ of today.

Not saying he is innocent or not. If he is, shame on the laziness of the media for not doing enough checking. If he is guilty, he deserves any and all hatred and vitriol coming his way.

All that to say, Grude on. Is the threads going to continue??? Hope so

LOL, this has nothing to do with trolling, who is a troll, who isn't, who is an insider blah, blah. No one needs a baby sitter. BTW, there are legit people on this board like AV and I believe knuck, and exile as well. Most of us are grown and capable of reading a message board without direction from you. Thanks for your concern though, I just don't think your PSA is of any value at the moment, it just came off like you were in the "I told you so!" crowd. :hi:

Current problem is connected to Haslam and back-door deals,etc.....all good coaches know that the AD at UT is being controlled. Coaches want a degree of freedom to do things their way. No booster controls Saban, it's the reverse if any at all. In effect a booster can impact a coach's performance easily and thus his future.

At best, Currie was acting as a Haslam tool under duress. At worst, he was actively trying to make this travesty happen.

I am holding on and hoping for a Gruden miracle but at this point .... seeing a MOU was actually signed with GS .... I think the Gruden ship has sailed...

Hope I am wrong and will be here until a new coach is named .... and Hope

Too much smoke around the Schiano story. If this was Currie, he's toast.

This is turning into a nightmare, and someone is going to have to answer for it before it's all over.

I still can't square how the CBSSports article comes out this morning about Gruden being very much in the mix... and then less than 12 hours later we have somehow dug so far past rock bottom the locals are speaking with Australian accents... or whatever is close to the other side of the world from Knoxville

Gruden could bring us out of hell in 2 years and make millions doing it. Why Jon won't you save us? Is it apevol. Did he offend you? He didn't mean you, he was talking about jay

My wife is having a hard time understanding that she is a widow to this thread. Keeps pausing HGTV so I can see kitchen upgrades. IDGAF until this is over.

No just I put more weight on people that are confirmed insiders and have a strong belief nobody with real close connections is on this site (other than players parents). I’m still hoping Gruden comes id never say I told you so cause I never “told you so” I even predicted he’d be the next coach.
