Glad you can laugh. :) Someone asked a pretty complex question and I answered as best I could without getting tl;dr.

You are strongly encouraged to place me on ignore. :)

Just pointing out that you’re are utterly, 100%, FOS and the things you say.. like about the affects of this on the “Gruden Deal” are comical.

I’d like to apologize as well. When I reported info, I named the names of the mid level boosters, the one man within the AD and even a BOT member. I’ve read texts with my own eyes and spoke to second hand informed people in person. I’m a die hard Vol fan who grew up with season tickets. I fully believed we were getting gruden. I’m sorry that hasn’t happened and until we get a new AD it will not happen.

Let me tell you what I have heard.

The mid level boosters are backing off their pledges to the renovations of Neyland. They have heard the big boys are as well. It’s almost unanimous that they want Currie out. I don’t see him making it through this. The chattanooga guys are all pushing hard for Blackburn. It appears that has gained traction throughout the night in Knoxville. The understanding is Currie was telling certain boosters what they wanted to hear and working with Haslam in private.

We are fortunate that these boosters and VFL received a leak about schiano becoming the next head coach. This promoted them to use their connections and get our congressmen and the next potential governor to weigh in. This political pressure was what broke the camels back. Currie was prepared to trot schiano out and the fans would end their protests and move on within the week. This political pressure also forced Espn to show the tweets. This was much more influential then most are aware.

Don’t eat your own. This isn’t anyone’s fault on the board. That’s a fact.

Haslam and Currie need to be sacked!

I was driving all day, and almost wrecked multiple times trying to keep up.

The whole time, while I secretly laughed at "smoke screens" and "controlled leaks" the overall picture was one of Currie being a mastermind and having several whales on the line, just waiting to pill one in at the right moment.

At the end of the day he was nothing but the man behind the curtain. A fake and a fraud. Somehow Tennessee has become this, and it's awful. We need to clean house from AD to boosters. Restart and let only those with UT's interest in mind run the show. No more outsiders. VFLs who get it and what it means for the fan base.

I want to point out just how serious I am: I didn't go to UT. I grew up loving the Vols and am as die hard as the next fan. But even with that, I don't have the same connection as the alumni. Even I don't think I could be in the best position to put the University first in the way others could. Although I do know I'd probably make a better hire than this debacle.

Has anyone seen anything from MIT beaver's twitter? Last I saw, someone posted a screenshot of it that said schiano was a smokescreen and pointed to the article with which we are all so acquainted.

This day has been quite stressful hahaha

Nice! I can feel you beaming with pride and you should Dad!

I'd like to share my son also so it might bring smiles to others on such a uneventful evening.

My son, SWFLvol33, just graduated this past summer from UT In Supply Chain Management, 4 year ROTC cadet and became Commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army.

He heads off to Army Flight School in 60 days.

He STILL believes JG is coming though. lol

Like you, very proud father. Perhaps the future of our country is actually in good hands after all? :)

So Cool, but hey, it's what we fathers do. We have every right to be proud of our kids. :)

This University's reputation may be like this.... as well as the football program ......BUT Gruden to the Hill and we shall all live a good and adventurous life like Rose ..3 Rings

If this ends up being some type of poweplay/coup by Blackburn, Ergen, Gruden, and others to remove Currie, Haslam, Davenport from power....I just have to say...

If not, then...

1. Currie will be gone in short order if majority non-Haslam boosters are pulling funding.
2. Depending on the contract, I can see Schiano will get some sort of settlement. But it will be small. Because otherwise we tell his agent "We'll see you in court with full discovery of his time at PSU in the papers, good look having him find employment after that"
3. UT is on the clock. Something must be done in next 24 hours -- even if 'just' to fire Currie/hire Blackburn/whatever. News coverage will not be pleasant tomorrow. Currie scheduled to speak at Knoxville QB Club tomorrow. That... can't happen.
4. Early signing day is really, really soon for all this garbage to be happening.
5. Soon.
6. If you aren't pro-Gruden, join a different thread. Will be better for your blood pressure.
