Said it last month after talking to my friend who was in the Haslam inner circle a few years ago, there was unified support for one hire and fractures among boosters beyond that if the top dog said no. We saw that in the extreme today with the chaos and power play/leaks today to Wolken. Person knew they needed a national voice because half the locals wouldn't pass it on and the other half wouldn't have been believed.

GV, I’ve now seen it posted where Phil and Peyton signed off on this. I just refuse to believe that.

After the way Schiano was in the pros, and what he did when he played Eli and Peyton - I can't wrap my head around Peyton signing off or giving his blessings to this. There's no way. I mean Peyton supposedly cursed him after a game where he had his defense trying to take out legs on a kneel down.

I was referring to your obsession comment of doing exactly what you just said...calling people out. You are obsessed with doing that. All they are doing is providing information. Nothing more, nothing less. It is up to each individual to take that information and digest it and come to their own conclusions. Ha that's the funny part. I'm sure I could tell you more than 99% of these insiders. I have a personal friend on the current outgoing staff. Played for him for 4 years and I have quite a few stories that would set this place on fire but I'm not going to leak that stuff on here because I'm not an idiot.

1. Currie will be gone in short order if majority non-Haslam boosters are pulling funding.
2. Depending on the contract, I can see Schiano will get some sort of settlement. But it will be small. Because otherwise we tell his agent "We'll see you in court with full discovery of his time at PSU in the papers, good look having him find employment after that"
3. UT is on the clock. Something must be done in next 24 hours -- even if 'just' to fire Currie/hire Blackburn/whatever. News coverage will not be pleasant tomorrow. Currie scheduled to speak at Knoxville QB Club tomorrow. That... can't happen.
4. Early signing day is really, really soon for all this garbage to be happening.

From my understanding. Ergen and Anderson are using their influence and bringing in the other large and mid level boosters to over power the “mega booster Haslam”. They will encourage the BOT to iniate a vote and vote yes to Currie being fired. They must first whip the votes as a politician does. The iron is hot and they know their best chance to strike is now.
