The whole bunch. They have no respect or give one shizz about me or you the common fan. Those of us who care and have cared our whole lives but can’t afford to give millions a year we don’t matter. Mike Hamilton began a butterfly effect on all of UT athletics by making it about money. I’m beyond angry.

You are very right. Vol in exile stated this a.m. that Haslam was with Davenport when Currie was interviewed/hired. There's your root and who Beav is singling out. Haslam's influence is the cancer destroying UT football. Folks need to wake up now and put a stop to this.

Thanks for that, really. I know I say some abrasive things and express my opinion too much, but this thread really does have the best people on VN. With obvious exceptions (Catbone, anyone?), I think most people in here are pretty great.

Currie and the Haslam side didn't want it and wanted a different coach. From what they heard today Currie basically told them he had his guy and he would be hiring Schiano. They were mad to say it lightly and have been trying to stop Currie and get him out ever since. It sort of explains all the (sources) that are looking wrong now but it doesn't fix the big problem in our upper management. Just putting it out there. Their are alot of rumors out there so make your own conclusions but it kinda makes sense

Yeah, it’s some House of Cards crap. I really want to know what happened in the time frame of the last 10 days or so. Something went down.

Anyone know how much the Haslams actually contribute to the program? Let's say it's $5M. Neyland fills up 102455 for home games (mostly Vols), and many more (conservative estimated 2M) give a hoot about the program. If everyone gave an average of an extra $5, could we force Jim out? Could we crowdfund our way to victory? It's not a completely far-fetched idea. Based on the passion displayed tonight, it's a flat-our incredibly plausible idea.

Beaver is 100% correct. UT football and Haslam can no longer coexist. Blackburn will pour his sole into turning this around.

Screw the Currie Neyland renovation. Use that committed money to offset Haslam.

Let’s clean house. Haslam should pay this bill to Schiano if one needs to be paid ... then cut ties from Tennessee and Haslams.

He was. This today had nothing to do with Gruden. There's a reason Wallace and Brice were reporting Haslam was allowing Gruden to use his plane after the Georgia game, because it was true. It was also true in 2012.

This is the fall out of Gruden not taking the job. I was told then and it appears abundantly clear now that there was major disagreement about whom would be hired if the top option turned the job down. We saw that playing out today.

I am not the only one who heard it this way. Boro, AV and others did as well. I wasn't even told it was Gruden this time but that it was a very high profile candidate that everyone wanted. I just assumed it was Gruden and the Brice/Wallace stuff confirmed that.
