The fact that someone at UT also thought that it was a good idea to not issue any form of statement this evening is mind boggling. How seriously ignorant are they? I mean for goodness sake, you have to at least call the fire department when the house is burning down. At this point I hope that the entire AD is purged. We'll recover in 3 or 4 years. If Penn State can over come what they did and Bama can over come their coach getting caught with hookers on a recruiting trip, we will eventually get past this.

We need to flush that athletic department like the bowl full of turds it is. Clean house! Pathetically embarrassing. Worst possible scenario. Heads plural need to roll. We are a laughingstock. I’m sick right now folks.....

The state legislators were in contact with the UT President Dipietro. These mid level boosters donate to these congressmen and state senators campaigns. Those are all facts. My family even donates to 3 to 4 local politicians. So, it’s not too hard to make some friends. Those guys all are one big fraternity. This war may go public. Beaver wasn’t lying. Influence is critical in these situations.

Thank you for the info and we must keep the pressure on as much or more than today. We want to know what Haslam is doing and how to push him aside- and where does Dipetrio stand in this? Does he kneel down to Haslam as well? It's concerning since his damn son is the head of BOT.

Currie needs to be gone in the morning. Blackburn should be called tonight and told the job is his and to go get his man. No way Currie should be handling the hire any longer. Then all the boosters need to tell Haslam he is not in charge anymore and if he is we are out. As a fanbase we need to scream until our voices are heard. All we can do is try to make it happen, and if it falls on ignorant ears walk until things change. Hit them where it hurts. Pathetic but I will scream until I have exhausted all I can. I hope all fans do the same. It's time to drain the garbage on the hill, and it's up to the folks that support the Vols to make it happen by our voice or by turning our backs if they are not heard.

Can we stop fighting for a minute and just say that we as a fanbase... Regardless of the national narrative... We were great today!

Some are saying Davenport was the one who formally stopped the hire. If so, although it had to be done, at least she followed through with it and didn't play puppet to Jim. I don't think she's the issue here.

So the insiders have given up on their Gruden BS....(I wanted Gruden but I don't appreciate the BS hope they gave us)....Now it's onto their "sources" saying Currie won't make it through this.

What next from these "sources" who incidentally ARE ALWAYS WRONG.
