Looks like we are going to hire Mike f****** Gundy and like always that will calm enough of us down and things will continue the way they always have.

War and violence are what protects the sheep. Most in here are the sheep dogs, a few sheep, and a few wolves (who can gtfo).

The sheep right now are ready to take Gundy and hibernate until the spring game.

The wolves have battered Vol syndrome and have no expectations anymore.

The sheep dogs are blowing up social media, email inbox's, screaming at anyone who will listen. They also haven't lost the belief that victory can be obtained.

This might be the last stand, the last chance to truly take and hold "The Hill." Is this a hill worth dying on....CURRAHEE

Currahee? The mountain in GA?

He works 16 games or so a year and also has multiple endorsement deals. Compare that to working 24/7/365 for similar money, what would you do?

And just because we want him as a coach doesn't mean he wants to coach college ball, which he has never done before as a head coach.

Neither has Herm Edwards. But he’s interviewing.

I read that he was offered to stay on with MNF at 1/4th of his salary... that’s a huge pay cut. I believe 100% he was in talks and the numbers thrown out were real. I don’t have any proof other then logic and understanding what’s been going on with ESPN and piecing it all together.

Calls for forkeddeer to tell everything or leave in 3...2...1...

I'm with ya FD, just a bit salty with some others is all. :)

To be fair to FD he actually gave us something tangible to think about. He said is info without giving away too much and pointed to a specific example of Haslam's ego on display

All you did was say you had some kind of damning info and then tried tell everyone to keep fighting a fight that we have no proof of something going on, only hearsay.

So maybe just maybe some people don't want to be made to look like fools again with and fight something with no real proof

The 1/4 thing was just chatter on here. Show one credible outlet that said this.

I was simply saying it proves the ESPN layoffs are real and helps with the idea that Gruden could’ve been entertaining the idea of coaching here.

I absolutely think he would be coaching here this year if we didn't have Mo, Larry and fawking Curly running the show up there.

Give me Alabama's Administration, and Jon is recruiting Friday.

To hell with anybody that thinks I'm crazy. Boon!

(1) May not be similar money--ESPN may reduce his salary
(2) He just may want to coach at UT. We just don't know
(3) Gruden, by all accounts, is a workaholic. That is probably not an issue.

If you asked me if I would coach a MLB team for what I'm making now working on avg about 4 hrs. a week, I would jump at coaching the baseball team. So, money may not be the motivator.

But, one point you made is valid. He may not want to coach college, but I don't think he has ever said that. All he has said is he would have your program on probation because he would want to work with players more than the NCAA allows.

Maybe AV and crew are working on a plan to do just that. Not holding my breath that anyone can’t force the change that we’ve needed for so very long.

I believe that. He's busy, they know what they want and have probably devised a plan and taking action. My guess is he's busy, probably not much to update with any certainty.

Considering where we were two days ago, Gundy would be an amazing hire. I honestly thought we would be hiring an assistant from somewhere who was desperate for a HC job.

Gundy is the real deal folks. The only reason he wasn't on my short list weeks ago was I didn't think he was in play.

Because he's Haslam's b!tch. That seems to be the real answer here. He did Haslam's bidding for the Schiano hire and he's helping him save face with Gundy.

This isn't about Currie at all. It's all about Haslam.

I'm not sure what to think about Peyton at this point.

I think you are missing the key point here. Peyton reached out to Gundy last week.
