I have enjoyed this thread for a month or more. I haven't been confrontational tonight even when I was called a sh..head. I enjoy most of the posters in this thread. If you wish me to be gone then you control that.

Do u choose strong over gru?

If Strong is the coach, I will love UT.
If Gruden is the coach, I will love UT.
If Dooley were still the coach, I would love UT.
If Satan and his minions became the coaching staff, I would love UT.

And come September, you will too.....when that first sunset dips below Neyland's skybox, and all the orange gets that crazy, stunning, 100,000 strong glow, you WILL.

When tiny cheerleaders skyrocket into the air, and a defiant blue tick bays, and a drum major high steps at an impossible angle, you WILL.

You will see the General's statue. You will see the Vol Walk...

The Vol Navy will arrive. And all that is good will be good again; and just maybe, we will have turned the corner....

And you WILL believe.

You had me until the satan part.

I just got a message from a girl I grew up with and am close to. She is married to an x-pro that is a pro coach now. I trust her more than anyone else I have spoken to. I was wrong as my sources obviously were. I am no longer on the train. It will be Strong. Her last post...
I adore Jon but no way Cindy was uprooting his oldest kid's senior yr in HS, etc.... Not even to go back "home" for her! Woulda been awesome though.... He is happy playing the $$$ game ...best part is only one big boy from UT even called last week and couldn't even get close to what he makes a yr in contract/endorsements/etc... Jay says he thinks only job he'd be REALLY interested in is Philly...looks like that is gonna be open real soon...hmmm..... IMO if JG is gonna run at coaching again, he'll go at this one..if he's really done, we'll know. Anyway, just my two cents.... And dang it, UT needs to hurry up!!!! Ya'll kids done waited long enough!!!!

Do we need to take a casualty count and see how many of us are left?

+1

Im not a looney toon, and I take heavy consideration of all angles without blindly jumping in...that said...All in until something's official. If its not Gruden, then I will do my best to stand behind the new coach, give him the benefit of doubt, and then be sure to voice my opinion based on his results.

I have a friend who is an EMT. He was telling me about a situation where he made a house call and found a man who had been bed ridden for 12 years. He had open bed sores so bad that maggots were eating the infections. His legs were moving from all of them...

...that's what it felt like in here an hour ago.

Totally classless

Yes it was, glad it is settling down now.

I still have hope. They said all would look bleek and then the bright sun would poke through at the last moment.

Well, should have known another one was lurking. Someone get the spray.

Lol. Hey bro, no fighting tonight alright?:mf_surrender:

You Grudenites enjoy your dream in peace for one more night okay?

Lets just remember that we are big orange brothers after the Strong announcement okay?

Nice thoughts...but the number may not be there...we shall see...hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Hey OGs (I know I don't count, but I'm on the bandwagon until the end)... seriously think there should be a bit of a private celebration in Knoxville if Gruden is announced. Y'all pick the place, but I'm down.

We need to make this happen no matter what happens.

Bs...no way. Was he obese? I've seen a man get fused to a matress...a "mantress", but maggots moving his legs? wow

If by "private" you mean like 100,000 fanatics, I'd say our potential venues for such an event are limited.. there is one place that might work... just sayin

No you wouldn't

I certainly would....Fulmer is one helluva a recruiter...and he's not a MIGHT be he did it....and I think he still has good years left for someone. Wish he wouldn't have slacked up, and wish he'd have gotten one more year just to be sure. and let him at least end post season with class.....he was treated plain wrong. Fulmer is still the best coach in our schools history outside of Neyland and 110% VFL.

No but strong is my clear second choice as has been for weeks.

I'm ok with Strong as a #2 as long as he hires a proven OC and other strong assistants (no pun intended). I'll still have my doubts about him, but his first test will be to bring us a top 10 recruiting class.

I do think he's a risk at this point that UT doesn't need to be taking...plus he's an expensive risk.
