I agree. At least you would have a coach that loved the University and had a passion for it that the alumni have. I am not enamored with Strong at all. He may work out, but he is a big risk, IMO.

I just got a message from a girl I grew up with and am close to. She is married to an x-pro that is a pro coach now. I trust her more than anyone else I have spoken to. I was wrong as my sources obviously were. I am no longer on the train. It will be Strong. Her last post...
I adore Jon but no way Cindy was uprooting his oldest kid's senior yr in HS, etc.... Not even to go back "home" for her! Woulda been awesome though.... He is happy playing the $$$ game ...best part is only one big boy from UT even called last week and couldn't even get close to what he makes a yr in contract/endorsements/etc... Jay says he thinks only job he'd be REALLY interested in is Philly...looks like that is gonna be open real soon...hmmm..... IMO if JG is gonna run at coaching again, he'll go at this one..if he's really done, we'll know. Anyway, just my two cents.... And dang it, UT needs to hurry up!!!! Ya'll kids done waited long enough!!!!

The more I research Strong....the more I like him. Sure...I would have loved to have Gruden...held out hope till the wheels fell off. This guy can coach (flat out)....I'm on the Strong Train and will give all my support to him if named HC at UT

I hope this is part of some master plan otherwise I'm applying for an AD position somewhere. Make tons of money to make bad decisions and then tons of money when you get fired because of those decisions.

Don't let it. If you believe in what was started in here back in September, and especially after last week, you should feel that the info he is privy to is probably put out with purpose--always ironic and quite scary how the coincidences add up.

Good point and I am still on the train.

It is just a roller coaster and I am ready for it to end with Gruden saying hello to all of us as we pull into the station!

Im not a looney toon, and I take heavy consideration of all angles without blindly jumping in...that said...All in until something's official. If its not Gruden, then I will do my best to stand behind the new coach, give him the benefit of doubt, and then be sure to voice my opinion based on his results.

:good!: I agree. If it is Strong or any other coach in America I will support them until they gives me a reason to doubt. I am just tired of not caring and just laughing it off when we lose on Saturdays.
