Who exactly was it who called you? What position are they in to have accurate knowledge of the situation? A member of Louisville's AD? Media member? How can you be so sure of this information? What exactly do you mean by "huge counter offer"? How huge is huge? Do you have specific numbers? If not, why not? It seems someone who is as close to this situation as your caller is would have accurate info as to the exact amount being talked about. If you are not willing to tell us who your caller is, then how can you expect us to place any faith in your caller's word?

It was a Fwiw post. A Louisville booster told me they had counter offer a 3.7mil 5yr offer on try and keep him. He is very well connected with a number of AD members there. Like I said fwiw

You just let me know, Boro! I'll have a cold beer and a nice KY bourbon waiting!

Where in CO is your bar? Heading to Denver for a bach party first weekend of March next year. I'm the lone vols fans but several have been to Neyland with me over the years. It's not my wedding...but the best man lives in Denver...he's the sports director for one of the stations out there. Fox, I think, but not positive.

Funny how some people had rather tell somebody told you so...than realize what this hire means!!! The diehard fans know this hire needed to be big or we are basement bound!! And I am afraid it may happen!! Until then. Gruden Baby!!!

Most of them are just too young to understand what this really means and how important this hire is.

The rest of them are just fvckin stupid.

Sure we could get lucky...but our gambling money is dried up.

Ft. Collins an hour north of Denver. If you come up here, ask for the Tennessee bar! Seriously. It's in old town

Don't play innocent when you did the same. If you want to get back to the debate, I'm fine with that. You shifted it. You shifted away from the Gruden debate because you now know you lost.

I did not attack you at any time!

Nor did I call you any name except "smart man"!

I will pull up the posts.

After this hire, no matter who it is, Gruden XVI should be started in FF so we can escape those morons. Been a great forum since OJGI.

According to Hub Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com, the Raiders "are in talks" with Jon Gruden about a reunion.
That's a wild one. Aside from some fairly standard comments about being disappointed in the Raiders' rough November, owner Mark Davis has given no indication that coach Dennis Allen's job is in jeopardy. If there's so much as a grain of truth to this rumor, however, Allen's seat must be quite warm. Then again, there's scarcely a job in America Gruden hasn't been connected to since becoming a sensation in the Monday Night Football booth. If he's coming back for 2013, the odds seem extremely thin it's with the Raiders.
