Im not a looney toon, and I take heavy consideration of all angles without blindly jumping in...that said...All in until something's official. If its not Gruden, then I will do my best to stand behind the new coach, give him the benefit of doubt, and then be sure to voice my opinion based on his results.

Really? He coached my Raiders and dealt with Al Davis and the Black Hole. It doesn't get any worse than an angry Raider Nation. I just don't see Vols fans being abusive to that extreme.

So if we had to counter offer at 4mil for Strong, do you still think he is a good value.

Consider carefully that Urban Meyer makes 4.5 at tOSU.

That would likely make Strong in the top 10 coaching salaries.

David Shaw at Stanford makes 1.5 mil a year. Chip Kelly makes 2.8.

NO! It's a terrible deal!!!!! I don't care if he's good or not, he hasn't done anything to deserve $$ like that! If we're shelling out that kind of cash for coaches, why haven't we offered Shaw that money?? He's a fantastic coach! My goodness, If that's really the $$ we're looking at, we need to rethink what this search is even about. :banghead2:

I don't usually chime in on those things because people want to argue and I don't but this time I took the chance. The info I provided is easy to find.

It's all good! I am not arguing so your risk resulted in reward. Her info may have been off as for a reason but her info is accurate non the less, at least to her. I was just passing along.

Trust me, I have been on the band wagon and hope it was Gruden. However, her conncections are tight so do not doubt. I have other friends not realyed to UT that have mirrored what Boro has said along with babyvol.

I am just afraid the smoke has cleared and we have a coach.
