NO! It's a terrible deal!!!!! I don't care if he's good or not, he hasn't done anything to deserve $$ like that! If we're shelling out that kind of cash for coaches, why haven't we offered Shaw that money?? He's a fantastic coach! My goodness, If that's really the $$ we're looking at, we need to rethink what this search is even about.

Why don't people understand this???? Whether you like Strong or not.

Bottom line, fans want somebody who will energize the fans and the players who might want to come to Tennessee. Other coaches might be able to accomplish that, but Gruden would be a rock star hire.

Having said that, I'll find something positive to say about whoever we hire.

Go Vols!!!

I think 3.7mil is high enough to go unless you know Kirby smart is the only name left standing. Worth isn't easily defined unless you look at specific need and what else can fill that need.

Puzzling, but since Al Davis died, that organization is being ran differently but with the same result. They actually hired a GM last year and didn't draft a fast no name wide receiver in the 1st round.

So per AP, Bielema's contract is 6yrs, $3.2m per. Would be 3rd in Big Ten behind Meyer/Ferentz, 4th in SEC.

Bielema is far more experienced and he's only getting 3.2
