Im not concerned a bit about hubbs - but Low sounds pretty confident that an offer was made to strong.

UT cannot make a legitimate offer to Strong if Gruden has been in the bag the whole time.


Im still all Grude, but ill admit that my Grudecraft is experiencing some turbulence.

The only idea I have is that they arent actually getting offers out there and the Media is stretching.

Arkansas was apparently offering half o the USA and looking like fools while doing it..... Then they walk out a stud.

I think any offer made to Strong would have been verbal, and in principle only pending the decision of Gruden. Strong needs this job much more than Chucky, but he is well aware that if we can land him, we have to. It's like all of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL on the teams that were making a case for Peyton in the offseason, they want to be the starter, but they all know if Peyton had come, they would have been highly paid backups.

We didn't... rumors that was spread by some of Knox media....guess who told media...AD office. They want people to believe that there are offers being given to other coaches. UT has had their coach in waiting for several weeks...Hart is not behind in coaching search, he was way out in front of it!

Well, you can always retract an offer before it formally accepted. Or you can low ball the offer. Louisville's AD has been quoted as saying he would match offers for Strong.

This weekend, after I was basically just sitting there, got some wind from business contacts connected to AD about the possible new guy and presser. Didn't care much but it was clear they had some heightened sense of urgency. Taking it all in you know?

I think what has happened is initially the Gruden camp and boosters were putting out all the good vibes to their people that we had Gruden...the AD was in the dark and confused. Things got too hot too fast, and everything needed to be squashed to get more time. Now, the Gruden camp and boosters are either putting out negative vibes or are not saying anything...and the AD is saying they have the guy, and all those from the other sides are now confused. What a master plan! Everyone is completely confused and nothing makes sense. All a ploy to get more time and to do the one thing that the OGs said would happen....set Hart up to come in to save the day and make it look like he made the hire, not the boosters. It all makes sense. I think that I will actually be shocked if it doesn't happen at this point, more so than shocked that we landed him.
