I think if we do hire Tressel or Petrino it is a sad and desperate move ... not that either of them would be bad, it's just that no one else wanted the job.

Lol at the last part. Going through a show cause to hire him and him being on heightened NCAA probation thereafter is a bigger problem than the 5 games--I would truly be shocked if UT tried to hire him.

If we are interviewing Tressel then they are definitely throwing up smoke. No way they would hire someone who lied to the NCAA after getting our probation extended, plus just firing a guy for lying to the NCAA.

Yep. If he is hired it will end badly. Especially with the two extra years of probation added on. OSU is a protected as you can get from the NCAA. They were forced to act against them. Hiring Kiffin then Tressell , we would be firmly in their cross-hairs.

Jim Tressel? Hah. Now we know the coaching search is a farse. a) Tressel can't beat SEC teams (yeah that was a dig at my OSU buddies) and b) he has a show cause.

Compared to Strong or Fedora...I would be ecstatic to have Tressel.

I agree. I spoke with a friend this morning about Davis. This friend was at UNC when Davis was there.

He said that Davis was an incredible coach and a relentless recruiter, and one of the best judges of talent a lot of the coaches had ever seen.

Just guessing but I think strong Told us Friday he would 100per accept the job. Something could have changed that but I still think he is our guy.
