Don't take it the wrong way.

I just have reason to believe that if our A) options don't come through, that Davis will be the fallback guy.

I am not saying he is on the short list.

I wouldn't worry about the probation thing with him though. He would not need to cheat at UT.

If the three denials then Gruden projection is correct would Strong be the third denial or the second? I figure Fisher was #1 but I'm not sure if Gundy was #2. Wondering if Tressel is #3 or just collateral smoke that got inadvertently stirred up.

Maybe Hart pitches Tressel to Slive and after Slive goes off then he asks about Petrino. Like when your kid wants a new bike, so he first asks for a car or something, which makes the bike look reasonable.

Gruden is "magic dust", no doubt, but for some reason, I'm not afraid of the future. I think Hart will do the right thing. He knows this hire will define his career, and the Vol football programs future as well.

It was funny....I was called into work for an emergency....

They were out in full force.. Then I was able to get back home around 11:00 (after Foxsports and others claimed he was staying at UL).... Nothing but crickets

It was crazy while it lasted though:

It's done..It's done.... Announcement in 2 hours....Yada Yada Yada....

They sounded like Grudenville as I think we have had a C. Strong announcement everyday this week so far...

My aversion with Petrino is I have never seen him field a decent defense and he has left each job he's had in pretty rough shape....

That and I will never be able to erase that pic of his neckbrace presser, haha.

I have always said that Butch Davis would be a great hire IMO.

Not the splash of Gruden for sure, but a hell of a recruiter/coach.

I know I will get flamed for this but...
If we didnt get Gruden ( which I am still 100% committed to) for the sake of argument, rather than make a hire we did not want or simply name an interim coach (aka lost year) why wouldnt we name Tressel. The true teeth of his show clause or for 5 weeks where his great staff hired would have to hold down the fort. After the five weeks its business as usual and we would have to walk the line. I realize the implications of being on probation and hiring a "show cause" penalty. But I believe Tressel is still quite respected. Yes he made some grievous errors, but the guy can coach and I feel knows to play it safe.

My flame retardant suit is on..... Bring it!
(and bring the Grude while your at it!)

Petrino was a mediocre recruiter before his public debacle. Parents aren't gonna let this clown in the living room, much less even listen to what he has to say. I get it, he's an offensive genius but he has wayyyyy to much baggage!

Those two haven't said we offered that I have seen. You will have to provide more evidence to prove that to me.

I did say Louisville was considering counter offering.

I never said we would up our ante

If Strong does not come here I will not bash you and tell you "I told you so" even though many Nega-Grudes have come in here and done the same. Not saying you have but many have.

Gruden or no Gruden...if Hart doesnt say something today.....i would say he has no idea whats next and is in deeeeeep trouble!
