Charlie Strong has to be a smoke screen. Talking to a buddy and the first thing he said was no way the "good old boys" allow Hart to hire a second black HC for the highest two profile jobs in UT. I never thought of that but...

I have just arrived at work and am so nervous I can hardly sit at my desk. I plan on wasting copious amounts of time today scanning this thread and continuing in my belief that KING JON DAVID GRUDEN is our next coach. If we can just make it through today ....

Very solid counter point.

As far as recruiting.. I think he actually would have an advantage.
He would have the traditional draw range of the Tennessee program (assuming Dooley hasnt destroyed it) but would also have a draw from the big 10 and the long time Tressel devotees.
I think it is an exciting recruiting play.

I am on the fence with Gundy and Strong. Part of me wants to believe they can get it done and part of me think they will be mediocre in the SEC as HC. Neither of those names will shake things up in Knoxville JMO.
