I agree that what Franklin is doing at Vandy is more impressive. That's why i have said numerous times if you think strong is a good candidate you had to think the other is as well.

Gruden will be named new director of CIA on wednesday. I was all in, and yes there are weird things going on, but I have nothing to indicate his interest. Hope I'm way wrong. Don't look down on strong, after him we start looking at terry Bowden.

Everything has been a smokescreen til now. Now somebody is reporting that hart is not interviewing in ny? hmmm interesting. perhaps hart has his man, or someone called back and wants to weal and deal? just speculation but who know who to believe.

Also, to be honest, I just got back on here due to the coaching search. I made a new screenname. Upon logging in a couple days later, I had to reset a password and discovered this old handle laying around. If I need to piss in a cup or have a background check run by any of you jackasses, feel free. I've been lurking since Gruden III.

If NO Gruden I want Fedora over Strong and even Gundy. Just something I like about the guy. For some reason I think he would be great in Knoxville.

OK! I need some help please. I am trying to make some sense of the time line we have been in. We knew CDD was gone around MSST. We just started interviewing this week while racking up over 100k in fuel cost and talking to coaches who weren't there, and waiting to go to NY to do more interviews, wait not, to saying we may be doing more interviews. Am I missing something? Am I the only one not buying what they are trying to sell? This is the CEO of one of the largest universities??? Come on man!

Funny how the new "mystery" coach is announced while Gruden is one.

Either they are giving us a hint that its Gruden, or they are throwing a smokescreen so that we would think Its not Gruden because he is busy....

They are somewhat eliminating themselves...Jimbo and Gundy are now out. Throw them on the heap with al golden, butch Davis, Gruden, Patterson.


At this point, I don't know who it could be besides Strong

Well first of all, you didn't say out recruit; you said those coaches would have top 10 classes at Louisville. Fact, Les Miles can recruit better at LSU than at Okie State. I wonder why?

Second, who would you suggest as a coach that can level the playing field? I am in this thread because I want Gruden, but I don't think it's happening. Peterson is not known to be a great recruiter; Patterson knows Texas; Fedora is unknown as a recruiter; Gundy is not a great recruiter. We aren't hiring Nick Saban. So who is it?
